President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Gennady Zubko. The guest cordially congratulated President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov from his country's leadership on his birthday. Thanking for the congratulations, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed that Turkmenistan, which is implementing the policy of ""open doors"", is always ready for long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation with all interested partners. During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the issues of interstate cooperation. The President of Turkmenistan and the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine discussed the opportunities for building up cooperation in a number of key areas, in particular, in the trade-economic, fuel-energy and humanitarian spheres. The role of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Ukrainian Commission on Economic Cooperation, which proved itself as an effective instrument for implementing the agreements reached at the highest and intergovernmental levels, was stressed. At the end of the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and his guest expressed firm confidence in the steady development of bilateral interstate relations on the principles of trust and mutual benefit and strengthening of traditional friendship relations between the two peoples.
