New industrial water treatment and circulation supply system was commissioned at Turkmenbashy Refinery Complex. Leaders of branch departments, administration and public organizations of the city, honoured elders, constructors as well as representatives of British «Petro Gas LLP» who made this project took part in the opening ceremony. Computerised operator service is one of the most important in the complex of new facility. Distribution system controls engineering units of treatment plant and pipelines laid from the sources of industrial and domestic sewage to treatment units and back for secondary use of cleaned water. Along with technological units, the operators monitor the reservoirs for storage of industrial and domestic wastes, ramified sewage network, cooling towers, oil-slime disposal units and other infrastructural facilities of treatment plant. The process of waste treatment is reflected in online mode on the monitors and informational panels installed in operators’ room. They track the work of all engineering units of technological lines, which form two complexes. They are represented by ferroconcrete reservoirs connected together where treatment methods are applied according to the contamination of the waste. At the same time, the lines of the first complex of industrial wastes treatment are identical and differ only by the concentration of salts, aggressive substances and oil in water. Set of equipment of the first complex includes three-phase oil and sludge separators, floaters, initial treatment filters, refined treatment filters, pump stations and compressor units. Clean water received after the first complex returns to water circulation cycles of the refinery facilities. Part of water similar to seawater by composition is discharged to water reception ponds, which are separated from the Caspian Sea. The second complex of treatment facilities, designed for collections, separation and treatment of industrial and domestic waste waters, consists of one technology line. The treatment starts in biological reactor from where the water is umped through the filters to reservoir for biological treatment. Cleaned water is used for irrigation of plantation. The capacity of treatment plants is more than 30 thousand cu. m. per day where about 20 thousand cu. m. of clean water is returned for secondary use, which is equal to production of one large desalination plant. The complex of new facilities also includes sanitary laboratory provided with precise analytical equipment from the leading manufacturers of the USA and Europe.
