The working visit of the UN Secretary-General António Guterres to Turkmenistan ended. The day before, negotiations were held between the President of Turkmenistan and the UN Secretary General in Ashgabat, which confirmed the existence of a huge potential for cooperation, developing against the background of mutual interest in achieving the global Goals of the Third Millennium, ensuring the stable progress of all mankind. Leader of the nation Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov arrived in the capital's International airport to see off the UN Leader. Here a brief conversation took place in the VIP-hall over a cup of tea. The President of Turkmenistan underlined the complete coincidence of views on current issues of our time, especially in peace-keeping and ensuring universal security, combating international terrorism and crime and other threats to humanity. Appreciating the impressive progress of Turkmenistan in achieving the goals of sustainable development, UN Head António Guterres noted the importance of international initiatives of our country, which seeks to realize its peacekeeping and creative potential for the common good. Then the Head of the state and his high-ranking guest headed for the airliner on the carpet road, along which lined up the soldiers of the Honor Guard. Once again having thanked for hospitality and cordial reception, the distinguished guest boarded the aircraft that was waiting for him and departed Ashgabat.
