The farmers of the Dashoguz velayat have joined the harvest of winter grain crops, which are gaining pace all over the country every day. The farmers of ""Aksaray"" Association of Gyorogly etrap have received the honorable right to start harvesting of grain. Traditionally the first wheat ears were mown by the respected aksakals, who handed over the symbolic sheaves to the combine operators. A production seminar proceeded to the beginning of the harvest with representatives of the velayat and etrap khyakimliks, agrarians, combine operators, tenant farmers, elders, and public organizations. The focus was on issues related to the proper organization of the mowing, ensuring a clear and coordinated work of the entire grain conveyor. Today, the first tons of grain were delivered to the receiving points of the velayat. The farmers of the northern region are determined to harvest the grain in the optimal time, to collect the grown rich crop to the last grain. Grain field of the northern region is 157 thousand hectares, from which farmers have to harvest 300 thousand tons of grain. Local farmers gave preference to the high-yielding varieties of wheat, such as ""Sahrai"", ""Dzhuvan"", ""Bat’ko"", ""Yoloten-3"", ""Irishka"" and ""Vassa"", which proved themselves well in the soil-climatic conditions of the region. 338 combine harvesters ""Case"", ""John Deere"" and ""CLAAS"" are involved in the campaign – 2017 in the velayat. Among them there are more than 30 powerful agricultural machines of the newest modifications, recently received by the country under contracts, which the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management has concluded with the companies ""John Deere International GmbH"" (Switzerland) and ""Umax Trade GmbH"" (Germany). During the harvest period, mobile repair and mechanical brigades will serve grain growers around the clock, supplying them with all necessary - fuel, combustive-lubricating, spare parts for machinery. At the field camps proper living conditions have been created for machine operators, drivers and other workers participating in the mowing of crops, performances of cultural figures and the work of mobile shops will be organized. 1,845 trucks will provide the delivery of wheat from the fields to 30 receiving points and 7 grain elevators located in the etrapes of Gyorogly, Boldumaz, S.Turkmenbashi and others. The laboratory of the Main State Service ""Turkmenstandartlary"" is in full readiness also, whose specialists with the help of the latest equipment will promptly determine the quality of incoming grain from the fields. Local branches of the State Commercial Bank ""Daihanbank"" will provide timely settlings with the farmers for the yield.
