The UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, who is currently on the working visit in Ashgabat, expressed the gratitude to Turkmenistan for assistance to the refugees and stateless persons. During the talks with President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Head if United Nations highlighted that he used to work with Turkmen side when he was the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and this cooperation could be called as exemplary. According to Antonio Guterres, there was a hard time when Turkmenistan had plenty of refugees and stateless people and Turkmenistan successfully integrated them into its society, having positively solved their problems. The UN Secretary General expressed the gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for personal attention and support in solution of these problems what is an example for other countries.
