The Media Forum ""Asian Games in the World Press"" was held in Mary. It gathered representatives of the International Sports Press Association (AISP), the sports press associations of Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Mongolia, Hong Kong, large media companies ""Triwandi Çanzo"", ""Gilmore business network"", ""Laurel"" And the television media ""PTV news"", ""Media Lusa"", the State TV and Radio Company of Belarus. Participants also included representatives of relevant departments and media of Turkmenistan. The solid composition of the delegates of the media forum attests to the great interest in the international information space for the Asian Games-2017. During the meeting, the guests were shown videos on the development of Turkmen sports, conditions created in Turkmenistan for major international competitions. Video materials gave a clear introduction to the guests about organizational preparations for the Asian Games-2017. The main tasks of the current meeting of the representatives of mass media from various countries of the world included strengthening productive ties and increasing the effectiveness of joint measures to prepare for the Asian Games. After all, a successful marketing, broadcasting and media strategy is one of the key aspects for the Games. Participants of the forum agreed that the cooperation of the representatives of the mass media of Turkmenistan with the International Association of Sports Press and the leading media companies of the continent, will serve as a mutually beneficial exchange of experience and have a positive impact on raising the level of coverage of the upcoming competitions. The speeches emphasized that the holding of the media forum once again demonstrated the desire of the country to open Turkmenistan to the whole world through sport. As it was mentioned, a super modern Olympic town was built for the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat. The corresponding facilities of this complex will host competitions in 21 kinds of sports. In order to provide information support for the Games, the Press Center, the Center for International Broadcasts have also been built, and all facilities have been created for real-time transmission of information on the course of the ongoing competitions. In this regard, confidence was expressed that representatives of the media from around the world will appreciate the opportunities that are created to highlight the upcoming games in the global media space. On the eve of the forum participants were given the opportunity to get acquainted with the objects of the Olympic town. Carrying out such a large-scale sporting event will make it possible to bring a sporting movement to a fundamentally new level, give a powerful impetus to the popularization and development of sport among young people, train high-class athletes and national teams. The guests and participants of the forum noted the undoubted successes achieved by Turkmenistan in the development of sport, and high attention paid by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to this sphere. The forum noted that the initiative role of the Turkmen leader, who attached great importance to the Asian Games in the context of increasing the country's international prestige and popularizing physical culture and sports, was an important factor in the decision by the Olympic Council of Asia to choose Ashgabat as the venue for the Games.
