On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov Chairwoman of the Mejlis A. Nurberdyeva accepted credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Turkmenistan, Mr. Yaroslav Siro. During a conversation, the ambassador plenipotentiary was given an overview of the priorities of the domestic and foreign policy pursued by the Turkmen leader. The diplomat was also informed on the large-scale national projects and programs being implemented in our country. The ambassador expressed confidence in the availability of a wide-ranging potential for development of interstate relations, and building up an effective business partnership between Turkmenistan and the Czech Republic. The importance of expanding inter-parliamentary relations for strengthening cooperation between the two countries was stressed. While exchanging views on the prospects of building up bilateral relations, the need was pointed out for stimulation of trade, economic and humanitarian contacts, in particular, cooperation in the fields of science, education, culture, sports and tourism.
