The presentation of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games and horse racing event organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the PRC and the Wuhan Equestrian Club, timed to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our states, were held in the administrative center of one of the largest provinces of China - Hubei. The main goal of the current activities, carried out within the framework of a broad advertising and information campaign, was to attract attention to the Games in Ashgabat and to form a new image of Turkmenistan as a country of goodwill, health and inspiration. Opening the meeting in the building of the Wuhan Equestrian Club, the leaders and representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan to the People's Republic of China, the Department of International Cooperation of Hubei Province Feng Xi Guo, the People's Political Consultative Council of Wuhan Chen Guan Jun, the Wuhan City Sports Committee Yan Feng and others noted the significance of the current celebrations in further strengthening of Turkmen-Chinese relations, the origins of which originate in ancient times. As emphasized, the most distinct form they acquired was more than two thousand years ago, through the Great Silk Road, which linked the countries of the largest regions not only by trade links, but also by humanitarian, and mutually enriching science and culture ties of the great civilizations of the East and West. The guests included Vice-Chairman of the Friendship Society Van Xian Sheng, President of Oriental Celestial Horse Corporation Chen Wang Feng and its director Hu Yue Gao. During the presentation of the Asian Games-2017, which will be the first competitions of such level in the history of Central Asia, the guests had an opportunity to get acquainted with the main stages of the preparatory work, as well as with the main attributes of the forthcoming Games. As noted, Turkmenistan's impressive achievements in the sporting sphere and the creation of its modern infrastructure are the results of the enormous attention given by Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the development of mass physical culture and the Olympic movement, and a far-sighted strategy in this area promotes the emergence of national sport to a qualitatively new international level. A distinctive feature of the 5th Asian Games, which will be held under the motto ""Health. Inspiration. Friendship "", is the fact that athletes from 17 states of Oceania will for the first time take part in the competition along with 45 Asian countries. Team China was one of the first to apply for participation in the Games. Upcoming competitions, where about 6,000 athletes will demonstrate their skills in 21 sports disciplines, will open a new page in the history of not only the national but world sports movement, will promote its expansion and strengthen it in the interests of millions of people in different parts of the world. Participants of the presentation were provided with detailed information about the Olympic town of Ashgabat. Its foundation was laid on November 5th, 2010. The total cost of the facility, the construction of which was initiated by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, is $ 5 billion. At present, about 40 objects are erected on the area of 157 hectares, including 16 sports facilities, equipped in accordance with all the requirements set by the International Olympic Committee. All necessary conditions have been created to ensure the comfort of athletes and spectators. The participants also familiarized themselves with the attributes of the Asian Games-2017, in particular the symbol, talisman and image of the Games, which, as noted, better reflects the national flavor, proclaiming the motto of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. There was a demonstration of a video about the Olympic town and the training of Turkmen athletes. Today, the state pays great attention to increasing the level of skill of athletes, as well as the skills and experience of volunteers who are practicing at the largest international competitions. Participants of the presentation also got acquainted with the video materials devoted to the upcoming Asian Games-2017, which were prepared by the State Information Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH). The guests were especially impressed by the Asian Games anthem - the song ""Forward, only forward, native land - Turkmenistan!"", authored by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. TDH clips include videos about international test competitions held on the basis of the Olympic complex, as well as a video clip dedicated to the forthcoming Games performed by the young and talented author and performer Mekan Nuryev. Then the audience got acquainted with the exposition, which unfolded here, demonstrating the achievements of our country in the sports sphere. In the design of the exhibition, the organizers used elements of national decor and advanced multimedia technologies. The symbolism of the Ashgabat Asiada was reflected in colorful booklets, brochures and banners. One of the stands shows sportswear of Turkmen athletes, coaches, volunteers of the Asian Games-2017, produced by textile enterprises. Ready-made products from terry, knitted fabrics, keteni, etc were demonstrated. Today the products of domestic factories, equipped with the latest equipment and advanced technologies, are in great demand in the world market. The books and fundamental scientific works of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, translated into foreign languages, aroused great interest of the guests. The exposition also includes publications telling about the multilateral achievements of our country, the peacekeeping policy of the head of the Turkmen state. The national costumes made of keteni, decorated with magnificent handmade embroideries, samples of jewelry, arts and crafts and traditional musical instruments, gave a special flavor to the exposition. Celebrations continued at the racetrack of the equestrian complex of Wuhan - one of the largest in the Asian region - where horse races took place, timed to coincide with the holiday of the Turkmen horse. The choice of this city is not accidental, because in China Wuhan is called the capital of horse racing. The complex meets the highest requirements of international quality standards. Its total area is 1 million square meters of the racecourse, designed for 8 thousand spectators, The current event was broadcasted live on television and covered by many media sources in China. Before the start of the races on a huge monitor, a video was shown dedicated to the history of the Akhal-Teke horses, known as one of the best breeds in the world and a pride of the Turkmen people. Within the solemn part, a group of our students studying in the leading universities of China performed the ancient Turkmen dance kushtdepdi, evoking the delight of numerous spectators. At the end of the race, the winners of equestrian runs at the distance of 1700, 1200, 1100, 1000 on behalf of the Embassy of Turkmenistan were presented with valuable gifts - a picturesque picture depicting the Akhalteke horse, Turkmen national robe Don and headdress, as well as statuettes of ""heavenly"" horses. *** Within the framework of the events timed to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations, a friendly football match between the teams of the Embassy of Turkmenistan and the Wuhan University of Geology took place in Wuhan. The teams held an exciting match from the first to the last minute. Turkmen diplomats, demonstrating high sportsmanship, won a convincing victory with a score - 5: 3.
