The Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Narendra Modi, extended congratulations to the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, upon the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. As noted in the letter sent on this occasion to the President of Turkmenistan, the establishment of diplomatic relations set a new landmark in the Indian-Turkmen friendship based on the centuries-old cultural ties. In the past quarter century, the mutually beneficial bilateral relations between the peoples expanded and deepened, contributing to the promotion of peace and progress in the region.
