Turkmen chess players won two ""gold"" and ""silver"" medals in tournament in Budapest

In the international chess tournament «Budapest Spring Festival» Turkmen sportsmen won three awards - two gold and silver. The competitions held by the Swiss system in nine rounds and brought together about 140 participants from 40 countries. In group ""B"" a gold medal was given to master of sports Gurbangeldi Amangeldiev who secured 7,5 points from 9 possible. As many points was won by Hajygurban Dovletov who yielded first place to his compatriot only in the ratio of sports factors. The victory in group ""C"" teacher of the Ashgabat specialised chess and draughts school, candidate for master of sports Vladimir Annaev who during intellectual duels secured 8 points, in seven parties having mated his opponents and in two – agreed for a draw. The national team gets ready for the 5th Asian indoor and martial arts games. In the middle of April our chess players will hold seminar and training in the national tourist zone ""Avaza"". From May 11 to May 22 they will compete for medals of the championship of Asia in the city of Chengdu (China).
