By the opinion of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the expansion of trade and economic relations will give an impulse to activation of beneficial partnership. In his speech at the talks in Doha, the Head of the State spoke for increase of trade turnover and services volumes between Turkmenistan and the State of Qatar, establishment of direct contacts between economic partners between two countries. Opportunity of regular trade exhibitions and business forums, specialized fairs of goods made in Turkmenistan and Qatar, opening of Trade Chambers in the capitals of both states was reviewed during the negotiations. In this regards, the effectiveness of the first Turkmen – Qatar business forum, which was held the day before the visit and resulted in important agreements, was highlighted. Participation of Qatar companies in investment projects in Turkmenistan is one of the spheres of mutual interests. The necessity of establishment of direct contacts between government and financial structures, large companies of two states was uttered. Turkmen side expressed its willingness to consider investment proposals of Qatar for realization of largest projects of Turkmenistan, which have regional importance, as well as proposals on investments to innovation projects of Qatar. Qatar companies were invited to participation in construction of gas processing, gas and petrochemical plants, in the projects in Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea as well as in supply of equipment for oil and gas complex.
