D. Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages has hosted a contest, “The best volunteer”, among teams from the country’s 15 higher education institutions. Competitions were organized in three rounds: at first the teams had to give presentations on volunteer training for the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. Then, contestants took part in a quiz about the history and culture of Turkmenistan. In the third round, the teams had to demonstrate their abilities to work towards solutions for complicated, unusual and unexpected situations. As a result, students of the International University of Humanities and Development, who were announced the best, won a grand prize of the contest. All the teams demonstrated a high level of training, effective teamwork, creativity and good interpersonal skills. Volunteers from D. Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages were top-placed in the contest; second place went to the teams from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Magtymguly Turkmen State University. Students of the Turkmen State Medical University, International Oil and Gas University, and Turkmen State Institute of Finance became third-place winners. The contest provided some extra training for the volunteers, who must become the strength that brings people together, the “heart” and “soul” of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. After all, much depends on them: what impressions athletes, sports fans and other participants in the Games will have about our country and this remarkable event. The contest was co-organized by the Ministry of Education, the Executive Committee of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, and the National Trade Unions Center of Turkmenistan.
