A telephone conversation was held between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov and President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. The President of Tajikistan cordially congratulated the Turkmen leader on the victory in the recent presidential elections and the ceremony of inauguration, having expressed the wishes for sound health and further successes in the important activity on the highest public post. Thanking for the congratulations and kind words, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov noted with satisfaction that in the modern period the traditional Turkmen-Tajik cooperation is being enriched with new content on the basis of existing long-term successful experience and potential. At the end of conversation the Presidents of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tajikistan expressed confidence in further progressive development of the traditional friendly Turkmen-Tajik relations, having expressed the wishes for peace, welfare and prosperity to the fraternal peoples of two countries.
