Turkmenistan and Iran aim at expansion of trade and economic, industrial and technological relations

It is important to use scientific and industrial potential of both countries in trade and economic cooperation of Turkmenistan and Iran, - President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov says in his address to the participants of the XIII specialized exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran opening in Ashgabat on February 28. Bilateral business forum, which agenda includes broad spectrum of cooperation objectives including priority joint projects in near future, will be held during the exhibition in the Expo-centre of the Trade and Union Chamber of Turkmenistan. Around 40 large Iranian companies and organizations, representatives of te ministries of industry, mines and trade of Iran will participate in the exhibition that will last until March 2. Iran is one of the main foreign trade partner of Turkmenistan. Iran was the second in the list of the total export volumes of Turkmenistan in 2016 and holds 7th position by the import volumes.
