The ceremony of inauguration of newly elected President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will be held on February 17th in Ashgabat. Official foreign delegations and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan have been invited to participate in the ceremony, which will be held in Ruhiyet Palace. The ceremony will be attended by representatives of international organizations, who arrived in our country as observers to monitor the electoral process on the ground, ambassadors of our country abroad, representatives of national and foreign media, and general public. 3 163 692 voters, representing 97.28 percent of the total voting population, have given their votes in the election of the President of Turkmenistan, which was attended by 9 candidates for the presidency, on February 12th 2017. According to the results of the national elections, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has won by 97.69 percent. It is expected that the President of Turkmenistan tomorrow after the inauguration ceremony will also conduct a solemn military parade in front of the “Oguzhan” palace complex. In honor of the momentous event a gala concert of Masters of Arts will be given at the Palace of Congresses.
