In order to further increase cotton production through the rational use of land, water, agricultural machinery, and mineral fertilisers, and to implement high-quality agricultural practices in the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution. In accordance with the document, the Ministry of agriculture, the State concern «Türkmenpagta», and the hakimliks of the Ahal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary velayats were instructed to:

– ensure the production of appropriate volumes of cotton in Turkmenistan in 2026 by organising the work of tenants, land users and landowners at a high level;

– distribute cottonseeds among the districts, taking into account soil and climatic conditions, in accordance with the plan approved by the Ministry of agriculture.

Based on the contract concluded with cotton producers, it is required to provide them with the following within the timeframes corresponding to agricultural standards:

– The State concern «Türkmenpagta» with the required volumes of high-quality cottonseeds;

– The State association «Türkmenobahyzmat» technical services related to the preparation of land for sowing, sowing cotton, caring for crops and harvesting cotton;

– The State water management committee with the corresponding volumes of irrigation water;

– The State concern «Türkmenhimiýa» with the corresponding volumes of fertilisers.
