Today, festivities on the occasion of the holiday of harvest, which symbolises generosity of the Turkmen land and well-being of the country, were held. The embankment of the Garagum river hat runs through the territory of Ashgabat became a venue of main events on that occasion.

The chairwoman of the Mejlis, deputy-chairmen of the Cabinet, members of the Khalk Maslakhaty, heads of ministries and sectoral departments, representatives of public organisations, diplomatic missions of foreign states accredited in Turkmenistan, distinguished workers of agriculture as well as honoured elders participated in the event.

This year, which bears the motto «International year of peace and trust», the country has obtained a rich yield of food grain and «white gold». The state creates all conditions for productive work of farmers and harvest of high yield of crops from the fertile land. It in turn promotes achievement of high indicators by agriculturists. In this connection, one should note that this anniversary year hardworking grain-growers have produced for granaries of our fatherland more than 1 million 400 thousand tons of wheat and silkworm breeders produced over 2 thousand 100 tons of cocoons of silkworm. It testifies to the fact that the state policy aimed at reforming the agrarian sector, started by Hero-Arkadag and nowadays successfully realised by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, yields positive results, playing an important role in maintenance of food abundance in the country. Producers of fruits, vegetables and gourds also distinguished this year with their high indicators.

One should point out that on the instructions of head of the state Serdar Berdimuhamedov, on November 8 in the conference hall of the Turkmen agricultural university named after S.A.Niyazov the awarding ceremony of front-rank people in the agricultural branch, who have achieved the highest indicators this year was held. According to the Decree signed by the President of Turkmenistan, they were presented with the medal «Watana bolan söýgüsi üçin» as well as costly presents as an acknowledgement of invariably high respect for foremost people in the agricultural sector- farmers, machine operators, scientists-agriculturists, selectors and other specialists who have brought their worthy contribution in development of the agricultural sector of the country.

Besides it, within the solemnity, the conference «Berkarar döwletiň täze eýýamynyň Galkynyşy döwründe ýurdumyzyň oba hojalyk pudagynda ýetilen sepgitler we önde durýan wezipeler», at which further areas of development of the branch were discussed, was held.

As known, steady agricultural production, food abundance, healthy food and safety of foodstuff are considered as basic conditions of happy life. Today, our country confidently follows the path of reforms and prosperity. The government programs aimed at increase of well-being and social level of people are successfully realised. Thanks to the developed large-scale transformations, Turkmenistan has turned into one of the dynamically developing states of the world. Along with all spheres of economy, the special attention is given to the uplift of agriculture. The country witnesses complex measures on maintenance of profitability of the branch, wide introduction of the latest technologies, latest achievements of science and technology and advanced world experience are realised.

In recent years, a great deal of work has been carried out to develop the agrarian sphere of national economy and to modernise its organizational structure. With a view of complex management of agro-industrial sector and perfection of its activity according to Resolutions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, scientific research institutes of grain growing, agriculture, cotton growing were established. At the same time, from the harvest of 2024, the state purchasing prices for wheat, cotton and rice have been raised in the country. Special attention are attached to the strengthening of the material and technical basis of farmers associations. Easy-term bank loans are given to farmers associations and economies, agricultural joint-stock companies and tenants. It is urged to bring out the agricultural branch to a qualitatively new level, efficiency of transformations and increase of productivity of crops.

Agriculturist are provided with technical services, mineral fertilizers, high-quality seeds and chemical agents to combat agricultural pests at reduced prices. Mutual accounts for the produced harvest are settled timely. The government programs aimed at production of import replacing and export oriented goods in the country are realised. Within their realisation flourmills meeting the requirements of time, cattle-breeding complexes, hothouse economies, manufactures for release of meat and dairy production are regularly constructed and commissioned into operation.

Recently, with participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stone-laying ceremonies of the complex for manufacture of mineral fertilizers of Turkmenbashi chemical plant named after S.A.Niyazov and the complex for manufacture of urea in Turkmenbashi etrap of Balkan velayat were held. Soon these manufactures will bring an essential contribution in maintenance of agricultural manufacturers with mineral fertilizers as to further strengthen food safety of the country and its export potential.

With a view of creation of food abundance, the state attaches the special attention to study and introduction of advanced world experience, expansion of international cooperation in the given sphere as well as to fruitful interaction with the United Nations Organization and its specialised establishments. In particular, partnership of Turkmenistan with the Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), which supports efforts of our state in achievement of sustainable development goals- advancement of climate optimised methods of agricultural management to the strengthening of systems of safety of foodstuff.

In the morning on the bank of the Garagum River, which runs through Ashgabat city, performances of singers of the variety show and creative groups of velayats and the capital, who glorified achievements of our independent fatherland in the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state were held on the improvised stage. Participants and guests of the holiday were welcomed with the traditional national treat - pishme and various sweets.

The gathered heard with deep attention the welcoming message of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to hardworking agriculturists of village, skilled workers and people of independent neutral Turkmenistan.

In the message of the head of the state, it is underlined that the holiday of harvest marks a huge respect our hardworking people enjoy in our independent neutral fatherland for their diligence and honest work as well as immense pride for a generous high yield of our native land. Inspiring farmers into new achievements, this holiday expresses the respect of the state for faultless long-term work of the Turkmen daykhan.

Within celebrations, on behalf of workers of the agrarian and industrial complex the President of Turkmenistan was presented with the Akhal-teke horse named Sahabatly, which is born in 2022 and belongs to the pedigree of Perman and Gaymak in honour of the widely marked holiday of harvest.

The exhibition of achievements of agriculture and processing industry of the country was organized outdoors. The expositions there displayed all departments of the agro-industrial complex of Ashgabat and Arkadag cities as well as velayats. The separate pavilion was devoted to the grain-growing branch. Thanks to the self-denying work of farmers and an agrarian reform successfully realised under the leadership of head of the state Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the country fully provides the home market with flour and a wide assortment of bakery production. Introduction of new species of agricultural crops is one of the key areas of the innovative strategy of development of the agro-industrial complex in the country. In the given context, one should mark that the research institute of grain growing of the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan developed new varieties of wheat «Serdar», «Arkadag» and «Pyragy».

In the section devoted to achievements of Turkmen cotton growers one can see snow-white boxes of "white gold», product samples, received at raw processing. As known, today, the Turkmen cotton serves not only the basic raw material for the national textile industry, but also the most valuable product of export. At the exhibition, one could see samples of the best species of medium staple and especially valuable - fine-staple cotton, each of which grows out of long-term work of local selectors.

The stands devoted to successes of the private sector in the agrarian branch as well as achievements in the field of land improvement, horse breeding, animal industries, wildlife management, food, processing and textile industries evoked a great interest in guests and participants of the exhibition. A special place was given to works decorative and applied arts glorifying our national property – Akhal-teke racers and alabays and wonderful nature in the exhibition. Improvised wheat and cotton fields, "live" exhibits of the cattle-breeding complex were also displayed there.

One should note that in shopping centres and markets of the country the population is provided with fruits, vegetables, gourds and berries in a wide assortment round the year. Farmers consistently increase volumes and expand production of species of fruits and vegetables in hothouses.

Thus, the exhibition organised there clearly reflected achievements of agriculture of the country. Near to white yurtas, cauldrons were installed to cook traditional dishes according to traditions of the big Turkmen toy. Competitions in wrestling, national games of rope pulling, yaglyga towusmak as well as chess and draughts revealed the best ones.

Along with detailed dramatized ceremonies, everywhere sounded folk songs, which we have enjoyed from time immemorial and songs of modern variety shows. In the rich creative panorama of the festive event, one could see richness and an originality of national art, a wide range of its genres, continuity of traditions.

Participants of the event expressed sincere gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Hero-Arkadag for large scale reforms on the further development of the sector along with all spheres of economy, created conditions for further improvement of Turkmen villages and increase of well-being of agriculturists and assured that they will make their best efforts for the further development of agriculture of the country.

On the occasion of the Holiday of harvest, velayat centres also held solemn events and ceremonies as well as concerts and other cultural events in honour of foremost agriculturists.
