The city of Arkadag, a visible symbol of the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, was awarded the Gold Medal named after V.I. Blinnikov of the Eurasian Patent Organisation (EAPO) in recognition of its outstanding achievements in innovative development. Participants of the 47th meeting of the EAPO Administrative council, held in the Turkmen capital, arrived in the smart city for the ceremony to mark this significant event.
Before the event, foreign guests were given the opportunity to admire the magnificent architectural ensemble of Arkadag and its wide avenues.
The guests were introduced to the features of this model city, created on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The most advanced technologies and developments were used in its construction. This is a clear indicator of the success of the state policy implemented in Turkmenistan, the main goal of which is to steadily improve the standard and quality of life of the people.
The new city is attracting attention globally as a national model of innovative urban development. Its receipt of several prestigious international awards is eloquent testimony to this.
Upon arrival at the Arkadag city administration, the ceremony participants viewed an exhibition organised in the foyer, providing a visual representation of modern architectural solutions and digital technologies integrated into the city's life support system.
The speeches of the ceremony participants emphasised that the awarding of this new international award to the city of Arkadag is further recognition of its impressive achievements. Sincere congratulations were extended to the Hero of Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, as well as to all residents of the «smart» city, on this remarkable occasion. Speaking at the ceremony, Eurasian Patent Organisation President G. Ivliyev noted that Arkadag, built in Turkmenistan based on the «smart city» concept and currently undergoing the second phase of intensive implementation of this large-scale project, is a model city. This is evidenced by the numerous prestigious awards, certificates, and patents it has received.
The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the Gold Medal named after V.I. Blinnikov of the Eurasian Patent Organisation to the city of Arkadag by the President of the Eurasian Patent Organisation, G. Ivliyev. The award was accepted by D. Orazov, chairman of the State committee for construction of the city of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan.
This award, established in honour of the founder and first President of the Eurasian Patent Organisation, Viktor Ivanovich Blinnikov, is presented «For contribution to invention and patent practice».
The awarding of this gold medal to the city of Arkadag is a result of the progressive initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen People in urban development, which are now being consistently implemented under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Participants in the ceremony also noted that the successful implementation of the tasks of improving patenting activities related to the «smart» city has become a factor in new significant achievements. Representatives of relevant agencies speaking at the ceremony emphasised the importance of the Intellectual Property Development Program of Turkmenistan in the context of the activities of the State Intellectual Property Service of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan. Based on this program, cooperation with international organisations is being strengthened to protect and comprehensively guarantee copyright.
During the ceremony, specially prepared videos were also shown, introducing those gathered to the innovative technologies and capabilities of the digital system implemented in the city of Arkadag.
A particularly inspiring moment of the celebration was the performance of the song «Sag bol, Gahryman Arkadagymyz, Arkadagly Gahryman Serdarymyz»!
At the end of the ceremony, its participants adopted an Address to the name of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
