The opening of a modern Health Centre, built in the Garadashayak residential complex in the Bagtyyarlyk etrap, took place today in the capital, adding to the list of large-scale events organized to mark Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers' Day in Turkmenistan.
Representatives of the capital's hakimlik, public organisations, members of the Ashgabat city and etrap people's councils, healthcare workers, honourary elders, and gray-haired mothers took part in the celebration.
Masters of culture and the arts performed a vibrant musical and dance performance for the audience.
As the ceremony participants noted, the foundation of the tremendous successes achieved in the Fatherland during the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state in all sectors, demonstrating progressive development lies in caring for people.
It was particularly emphasised that the protection of human health, which is the highest value of society and the state, is one of the priority areas of state policy initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag, and successfully implemented under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Modern medical facilities are regularly being built and commissioned across the country. This is clearly demonstrated by the opening and groundbreaking ceremonies of major facilities, timed to coincide with Turkmenistan's widely celebrated Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers' Day. In accordance with the State Program «Saglyk», extensive work is being carried out to protect public health, promote healthy lifestyle principles, and actively engage Turkmen citizens in physical education and sports. Positive results have been achieved in implementing advanced methods and innovative developments in disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, increasing life expectancy, and providing accessible and high-quality medical services.
In this regard, modern medical facilities equipped with cutting-edge equipment from leading global manufacturers play a vital role in maintaining continuous medical monitoring of public health, disease prevention, emergency care, and establishing close contacts between people and healthcare professionals on relevant issues.
To the applause of the ceremony participants, the ribbon was cut, and the new Health Centre was opened. The complex was built by a local construction company. Its main two-story building is equipped with the latest medical and other relevant foreign-made equipment. The Health Centre is also provided with the necessary medical supplies. It houses an emergency care centre, a laboratory, and departments for radiology, diagnostics, women's health, family medicine, physiotherapy, disinfection and sterilisation, and more. Medical staff provided a detailed overview of the Health Centre’s facilities and the specifics of the specialised equipment installed there.
A prime example is the modern ophthalmological diagnostic and treatment system «KR-800» from the Japanese company «Topcon Healthcare», installed in the ophthalmologist's office. This device is essential for assessing visual acuity. The medical device «Healthineers AG Acuson NX3» from the German company «Siemens» is designed for a wide range of ultrasound examinations. The physiotherapy department has the necessary facilities for disease prevention and rehabilitation procedures.
Participants also learned about the operation of the «MULTIX Impact» digital X-ray fluorography system installed in the Radiology Department. This system, integrated with an artificial intelligence system, enables high-precision X-ray examinations, including remotely via telemedicine. The laboratory department is equipped with cutting-edge equipment from leading German companies.
The Health Centre also provides all the necessary facilities for cardiologists, dentists, and family doctors, as well as vaccination services. Here, patients can quickly receive the necessary medical consultations and undergo examinations using high-precision equipment. The pharmacy on site offers essential medications and advice on the specific use of medicinal herbs.
The ceremony participants congratulated the specialists who will be working there on the opening of the new Health Centre. The healthcare workers expressed their sincere gratitude to Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for their constant care and the optimal working conditions they created.
During the ceremony, commemorative gifts were presented to the construction workers who distinguished themselves during the new facility's construction.
