Today, a solemn opening ceremony of the new modern village of Dovletli Mekan was held in the Ongaldy gengeshlik of the Ak Bugday etrap of the Ahal velayat, which became a wonderful gift to the residents of the region on the eve of the 34th anniversary of the sacred independence of the country.

As is known, on September 8, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the ceremony of commissioning a glass production workshop located on the territory of an industrial complex in the northern part of the capital. Thus, the head of state gave his blessing to the opening of large facilities, including social facilities, planned for commissioning in the regions of the country on the occasion of the approaching glorious date – Independence Day. All this is a clear confirmation of the fact that celebrating the main holiday of the country on a grand scale, in an atmosphere of high spiritual uplift, filling it with significant events and labor victories, has become a good tradition.

The ceremony was attended by heads of local government bodies, representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, velayat and etrap halk maslahaty, public organizations, respected elders, and residents of the etrap.

Speeches by cultural and art figures of the velayat increased the enthusiasm of those gathered.

Then, the Congratulatory Address of the President of Turkmenistan to the participants of the opening ceremony of the new modern village of Dovletli mekan in the Ongaldy gengeshlik of the Ak Bugday etrap of the Ahal velayat was read.

As noted in the Address, “In the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, every citizen of the country is a witness to the visual embodiment of the policy, the motto of which is “The Motherland is the Motherland only with the people! The state is the state only with the people!”, which became a continuation of the main principle of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag “The state is for the person!” It is gratifying to see new modern villages, cities, social facilities commissioned during the holidays. The projects implemented by Turkmen builders in accordance with international standards are a source of special pride.” 

The address of the head of state was listened to with great attention.

As was emphasized in the speeches made during the celebration, the creation of new villages and settlements is one of the important areas of socially oriented state policy, successfully implemented under the wise leadership of the President of Turkmenistan.

Noting that the opening of a modern village has become an unforgettable event for the residents of the velayat, the participants expressed their sincere gratitude to the Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for their tireless efforts in the name of the well-being of the people and the prosperity of the Motherland.

Then the ceremony participants got acquainted with the conditions created in the new village of Dovletli mekan.

Its territory includes 400 residential buildings, an administrative building of the gengeshlik, a health center, a secondary school for 640 children, a kindergarten for 320 children, and a shopping center. It ensures modern road transport and communications infrastructure, water, electricity, gas and sewerage systems. The creation of green areas and a park along wide, well-lit highways demonstrates a comprehensive approach to the implementation of the project, including from the point of view of environmental well-being. 

As a result of large-scale reforms for the comprehensive development of the Fatherland, initiated by Hero-Arkadag and now successfully implemented under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the appearance of cities and villages is changing dramatically. Thanks to the successful solution of the tasks outlined in the “Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028”, “National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the transformation of the social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, cities of etraps and etrap centers for the period up to 2028”, modern villages and towns are systematically put into operation in the velayats, where everything necessary for comfortable living is provided. The work carried out in this direction, demonstrating the economic and creative potential of the Motherland, contributes not only to the improvement of the social and living conditions of villagers, but also to the creation of additional jobs, the further development of new settlements.

The administrative building of the gengeshlik renders everything for the effective work of the employees. The Health House also has all the conditions for first aid treatment, rendering the villagers with the appropriate medical services. The pharmacy, built on the adjacent territory, will provide the villagers with the necessary medical supplies.

The two-story comprehensive school and kindergarten afford ample opportunities for young residents of not only the village of Dovletli mekan, but also nearby settlements to receive a quality education. The school has classrooms supplied with multimedia equipment and appropriate inventory, a conference room, indoor and outdoor sports grounds, as well as auxiliary facilities.

The building of the preschool educational institution has all the conditions for educating the younger generation, developing their skills in a playful way, as well as for the children’s rest. The territory of the kindergarten is landscaped, and shady trees are planted around its playgrounds.

In the shopping center, you can buy food and household goods necessary for the population in everyday life. 

In this regard, it should be noted that the agro-industrial complex is one of the key sectors of the national economy. Strengthening the specialized material and technical base, consistent implementation of advanced world experience, the latest achievements of science and technology determine the high rates of development of agriculture. Effectively using the opportunities afforded, workers in the industry make a significant contribution to the year-round provision of the country’s markets with an abundance of fresh vegetables, fruits and other products. A clear indication of this was the success of domestic grain growers, who this year harvested more than 1 million 400 thousand tons of wheat, successfully fulfilling their contractual obligations and winning a great labor victory. 

Then the ceremony participants inspected modern houses in which optimal conditions for comfortable living were created. All the features and needs of rural life were taken into account when designing them. Each yard has land plots with outbuildings, as well as a place for a car, modern engineering systems. 

The rooms and kitchens in the houses are decorated in the spirit of national and modern design, furnished with high-quality furniture. This is a clear indication of the successful solution of the tasks set by the head of state to assure the population housing of increased comfort.

Families celebrating housewarming in modern houses, according to a good old custom, prepared traditional pishme and treated the guests of the celebration. Festive cauldrons were placed in each house. The customs and way of life of ancient rural life and wedding traditions of the Turkmen were also demonstrated here.

The arrival of the wedding cortege gave a special flavor to the opening ceremony of the village of Dovletli mekan. This is a clear confirmation that the holidays in our country come in a row. The centuries-old family rituals of the Turkmen people are also associated with the appearance of the first tooth in a child and the shaving of the first hair of the baby. Competitions in the Turkmen national wrestling goresh and a folk game in which the participants must get a scarf were also organized here. All this clearly demonstrates the prosperous and happy life of our united people, a worthy continuation of its ancient traditions.

Participants of the celebration – compatriots, workers of various industries, who shared the joy of the new settlers, warmly congratulated them on the significant event.
