Today, in the capital, with the participation of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, a solemn opening ceremony of the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs was held.

The significant event, timed to coincide with the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, widely celebrated in our country, has become another important step towards developing the national education system in accordance with advanced international experience.

The new university was created on the basis of the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan dated 27^th of June of this year in order to support the entrepreneurial and business sectors in the training, retraining of personnel with higher education and improving their qualifications.

...In the morning, the Chairperson of the Mejlis, members of the Government, heads of ministries and industry departments, military and law enforcement agencies, the mayor of Ashgabat, representatives of diplomatic missions of foreign countries and international organisations accredited in Turkmenistan, business circles, the media, as well as the general public and student youth gathered on the square in front of the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

The participants of the ceremony greeted the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with great enthusiasm.

Hero Arkadag delivered a welcoming speech on the occasion of the opening of the higher educational institution.

Having greeted the participants of the celebration, the National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized that every day of this year, marked by the 34^th anniversary of independence and the 30^th anniversary of permanent neutrality of the sovereign Fatherland, is marked by new historical events and bright festive events. Today, on the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, the complex of buildings of the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs is being ceremoniously opened, said Hero-Arkadag, sincerely congratulating the participants of the ceremony and all the Turkmen people on the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, as well as on the commissioning of a new educational institution that adorns the beautiful capital.

Reminding the wise sayings of our ancestors: «Ylymsyz bir ýaşar, ylymly – müň» («The life of the ignorant is only a short moment, but the life of the wise is immortal»), «Okan il ozar...» («The people who study, lead»), «Bir – okana, bir – dokana» («Merits only go to those who study and to those who weave»), Hero Arkadag emphasised that, guided by them, the necessary measures are being taken to continuously improve the level of education of our youth. In this regard, the National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasised the inextricable connection between the bright future of the sovereign Motherland and the education and upbringing of the younger generation, which will successfully continue the great deeds.

Continuing his speech, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that today a modern additional educational building for 2 thousand places and a hostel for 800 places in the structure of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan will also be put into operation, and in Ashgabat and the regions of the Fatherland in the current academic year, numerous new secondary schools and kindergartens will be ceremonially opened.

Hero-Arkadag also reminded that in order for our young generation to receive modern education and upbringing, to become specialists with a broad outlook, mastering advanced technologies, schoolchildren entering the first grade will be presented with «Bilimli» computers on behalf of the head of state.

Noting that knowledge and science are capable of raising a person to unprecedented heights, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty focused on the need to encourage young people to receive modern education and constantly expand their horizons.

Currently, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs has more than 29 thousand members who carry out a lot of work in the context of implementing the adopted national programs in the country. Members of the Union also make a worthy contribution to the construction of the city of Arkadag, which embodies the economic prosperity and colossal potential of our independent neutral state.

As part of the first stage of the construction of the «smart» city of Arkadag, with the participation of members of the Union, 337 objects were put into operation for a total of about 11 billion 500 million manats. As part of the second stage of the city of Arkadag, with the participation of members of the Union, 120 objects are being built with a total cost of about 3 billion 400 million manats.

Members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs are also implementing a project to build a 600-kilometer high-speed highway Ashgabat - Turkmenabat with a total cost of 2 billion 300 million US dollars. Currently, the construction of the highway is in the final stage.

In this regard, Hero-Arkadag noted that since the establishment of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, its members have successfully implemented more than 5,300 projects worth about 97 billion manats or about 28 billion US dollars, and about 425 thousand jobs have been created, which indicates the successful implementation of the motto «Entrepreneurs are the country's golden fund».

Along with providing the domestic market with food and consumer goods, they export significant volumes of them to more than 50 countries around the world.

Stressing that today, thanks to the efforts of the President of the country, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs is opening its higher education institution, Hero-Arkadag especially noted the great importance of the creation of the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in the development and improvement of business and entrepreneurship in our country.

The new educational institution was built by the individual enterprise «Nur bina gurluşyk». The university complex of buildings includes a 9-storey main building, 4 academic buildings, 2 dormitories for 300 people each, a conference hall, a library, a canteen, as well as indoor and outdoor sports facilities.

Education at the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs will be organised according to a two-tier system, that is, in the areas of training bachelors and masters. Classes will be conducted here in Turkmen and English.

In conclusion of his speech, the National Leader of the Turkmen people once again sincerely congratulated everyone on the Day of Knowledge and Students, widely celebrated in the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as on the opening of the new complex of buildings of the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and wished them good health, family well-being, and great success in their studies and work.

Hero Arkadag examined the mosaic canvases on the walls of the foyer of the main building of the University, depicting ancient Turkmen merchants and the achievements of entrepreneurs in various fields, including science, education and innovative technologies.

The International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs is the first non-governmental university in the country, the structure of which includes a language department, a department for advanced training, faculties of economics and enterprise management, agribusiness, digital technologies, architecture and construction, as well as 14 departments and 42 laboratories within them. Since the University operates on a fully self-financing basis, training is provided on a fee-paying basis.

In the near future, educational, scientific and industrial cooperation will be established with the world's leading higher education institutions, manufacturing and business companies, as well as teaching with the involvement of foreign professors and specialists. Training will be conducted in a practice-oriented format. It is expected that experienced entrepreneurs and businessmen working in the private sector of the country, including in the field of manufacturing, will teach students how to solve practical problems that arise in production. This will also contribute to the development of mentor-student relationships in the higher school of business.

The total duration of study at a higher education institution is 5 years, and upon admission, students are accepted not to a specific specialty, i.e. profession, but to groups of extended educational systems. Extended groups of educational systems include several areas of training at once. Therefore, students first undergo one-year language training. Then, during the first academic year, they will study compulsory and general education subjects related to extended groups of educational systems, which include several areas of training in the bachelor's program. In this way, at the end of the first academic year, students can choose the appropriate area of training within the extended groups of educational systems at their discretion.

From the second year of study, students will continue their studies, studying specialised and optional disciplines in the chosen area of training. In this way, students specialise in a certain field of study in the second, third and fourth academic years, at the end of the third academic year they write an annual research paper, and at the end of the fourth academic year - a diploma thesis of an industrial nature and defend it before the state examination committee, thereby receiving a bachelor's degree in their chosen specialty. The predominantly practice-oriented focus of training at the University will contribute to the study and positive solution of problems in the industrial and production sphere of the country, the integration of academic knowledge and experience, strengthening the connection between science and education, production and the labor market.

Then the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan visited the laboratory classrooms of a modern higher educational institution, got acquainted with their equipment and the conditions created here.

Then the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Hero-Arkadag inspected the exhibition of products manufactured by members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, organized in the courtyard of the University. A special place in the exhibition was given to the products of the economic society «Aýdyň gijeler», which makes a worthy contribution to the development of the electronic industry of the country. The exhibition stand of the economic society presents various types of modern electronic products manufactured by it.

Hero-Arkadag noted that in the Fatherland in recent years great success has been achieved in the production of products of the electronic industry.

Currently, private construction companies are successfully implementing large construction projects deployed in the country. Along with this, they play an important role in the production of the necessary building materials for these projects.

Hero Arkadag, having stated that the country's entrepreneurs will continue to receive state support, wished them success in their work.

On the occasion of this glorious event, the Chairman of the Khalk Maslahaty, on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, presented the rector of the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs with the keys to new cars.

The head of the university expressed sincere gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people for participating in the opening ceremony and to the head of state for the construction of such a modern educational institution, and on behalf of the faculty and staff of the university, assured that they will make every effort to prepare patriotic, highly qualified specialists with a broad worldview.

Then Hero Arkadag headed to the building of the university's sports complex, where all the conditions for holding various sports events and physical education classes have been created. In this context, confidence was expressed that as a result of the reforms carried out in the scientific and educational sphere, its Turkmen model will be created.

As noted, the use of the ideas of young people in the implementation of the second stage of the development of the city of Arkadag became evidence of the special attention paid to innovative approaches during construction work.

In continuation, Hero-Arkadag emphasised the importance of the opening of a new additional educational building of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan today.

The presence of the Institute of Solar Panels in the new building, as well as the Scientific and Production Centre for Renewable Energy Sources, is a clear indication of the successful implementation of the «green» energy policy in the country.

Then, the National Leader of the Turkmen people left a memorable entry in the Book of Honoured Guests on the occasion of the significant event.

Once again, having cordially congratulated the participants of the celebration on the significant event, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty wished all its participants success.
