President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov received the credentials from Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan Farrukh Homiddin Sharifzoda. During the meeting the President and the Tajik diplomat exchanged views on the prospects of development of bilateral relations. It was stressed that today both countries are ready to constantly enrich the accumulated experience of fruitful cooperation, reinforcing it by new large-scale projects, implemented in the interests of the entire Central Asian region. As noted, revealing in this respect is the project of construction of railway Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan, the successful start of which is intended giving new impetus to the development of the regional transport network, and generally contribute to the intensification of trade and economic relations on the whole of the Eurasian continent. The Head of the State and the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan stressed the great importance of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade-Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation for the further diversification of cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
