Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev and khyakims of the velayats to consider issues related to the country’s agricultural sector and the work carried out in the regions.

The first to speak was the khyakim of the Ahal velayat T. Nurmyradov, who reported on the current seasonal activities in the fields of the region.

As reported, in the fields of the velayat, in accordance with agro-technical standards, wheat care is carried out, including fertilizing with minerals and vegetative irrigation.

Along with this, the necessary steps are being taken to organize the start and conduct of cotton sowing within the established agricultural technology timeframes.

Also, areas sown with potatoes and vegetable and melon crops are fertilized with minerals.

In the region, contracts are concluded with cocoon producers, and appropriate measures are being implemented to provide them with silkworm eggs.

In addition, the khyakim reported on the pace of construction of social, cultural and industrial facilities, the commissioning of which is planned for the current year within the framework of the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028 and the National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the transformation of the social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, etrap cities and etrap centers for the period up to 2028.

After hearing the report, the head of state drew attention to the importance of properly conducting seasonal agricultural campaigns and gave the khyakim a number of relevant instructions.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also instructed to monitor the quality and timely execution of construction work at various facilities scheduled for opening in the velayat this year as part of the country’s socio-economic development programs.

Then the khyakim of the Balkan velayat H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the progress of agricultural campaigns in the region.

It was reported that currently, mineral fertilizers are being applied and watered in areas sown with wheat.

Along with this, measures are being taken to prepare for sowing cotton.

The fields of the velayat sown with potatoes and vegetables and melons are being cared for in accordance with agricultural technology standards.

In the region, as part of the upcoming cocoon production season, contracts are being concluded with producers, preparation of storage sites for silkworm caterpillars and provision of farmers with grains continues. In addition, the progress of construction of various facilities scheduled for opening in the velayat this year in accordance with the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program was reported.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that compliance with agro-technical standards is one of the main conditions determining the productivity and quality of agricultural production, in this regard, instructing the khyakim to ensure that seasonal campaigns in the fields of the velayat are carried out at the proper level.

The head of state also ordered to monitor the timely and proper implementation of work planned for the current year within the framework of the country’s socio-economic development programs.

Further, the khyakim of the Dashoguz velayat D. Babayev reported on the state of affairs in the region.

Mineral fertilizers and vegetation irrigation are being applied to areas sown with wheat. The region is preparing for the cotton sowing, which will begin on March 26 with the blessing of the President of Turkmenistan.

At the same time, the planting of spring potatoes, onions, and other vegetable and melon crops continues in the velayat.

In addition, measures are being taken to ensure a high-quality and organized cocoon production season.

The khyakim also reported on the progress of construction of socio-cultural and industrial facilities in the velayat within the framework of the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028 and the National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the transformation of the social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, etrap cities and etrap centers for the period up to 2028.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that strict adherence to agro-technical standards is the main condition for obtaining high yields of agricultural crops, giving specific instructions to the khyakim in this regard.

The head of state also instructed the khyakim to monitor the quality and timing of construction of various facilities, the commissioning of which is planned for the current year as part of the country’s socio-economic development programs.

Then, the khyakim of the Lebap velayat M. Annanepesov reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.

As reported, mineral fertilizers and irrigation are being applied in the fields of the region.

The necessary measures are being taken to organize the sowing of cotton. Agricultural machinery and units are fully prepared for the season, cotton producers are provided with high-quality seeds.

Along with this, in accordance with agro-technical standards, care is being carried out in the fields planted with potatoes and onions. Currently, in the region, in order to fulfill the tasks set by the President of Turkmenistan to develop sericulture and increase cocoon production, measures are being taken to conclude contracts with tenants and prepare reception points for the season.

The head of the regional administration also reported on the pace of construction of social and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning this year within the framework of the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need for an integrated approach to the agricultural activities carried out, giving the khyakim specific instructions in this regard to ensure the proper and timely implementation of seasonal work.

Then the khyakim of the Mary velayat B. Orazov reported on the progress of current agricultural work in the region.

As reported, currently, mineral fertilizers and irrigation are being applied to the fields of the velayat sown with wheat.

In addition, the necessary measures are being taken for the organized start of cotton sowing and the proper conduct of this important campaign.

Along with this, care for spring potatoes and vegetable and melon crops continues in accordance with agricultural technology requirements.

Also, as part of preparations for the cocoon production season, relevant work is underway to conclude contracts with tenants, provide them with silkworm seeds, and prepare reception points.

In addition, the khyakim reported on the progress of construction of socio-cultural and industrial facilities, which are scheduled to open this year in accordance with the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

Summarizing the report, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of proper implementation of agro-technical measures to achieve high results in agricultural production and gave the khyakim relevant instructions.

The head of state also instructed the khyakim to ensure control over the quality and timing of construction of facilities planned for commissioning this year in the region as part of the implementation of the country’s socio-economic development programs.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev reported on the progress of seasonal work in the country’s agricultural sector.

As noted, at present, fields sown with wheat are being cared for in accordance with agricultural technology standards.

At the same time, appropriate preparations are being made in the velayats for the organized start of cotton sowing with the participation of respected elders.

As part of these works, agricultural machinery and units, as well as cotton seeds, have been prepared for the sowing season.

Along with this, the country is planting potatoes, vegetables, melons and other food crops, as well as tending to crops.

In order to successfully implement the plan for cocoon production and provide the country’s specialized enterprises with raw materials, the velayats are currently taking appropriate measures to procure silkworm seeds and conclude contracts with cocoon producers.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that compliance with agro-technical standards in agricultural work promotes obtaining rich harvests, improving the quality of products, ensuring sustainable development of the industry, instructing the Deputy Prime Minister in this regard to monitor the implementation of activities carried out on the country’s agricultural lands. 

Then, addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state instructed to carefully prepare in the velayats for the celebrations on the occasion of the beginning of cotton sowing on March 26 of the current year, to ensure the second fertilizing with minerals and irrigation in the fields sown with wheat, in accordance with agro-technical requirements, and to take timely measures to combat weeds and pests. 

In addition, instructions were given to accelerate the sowing of spring potatoes and vegetables and melons, strictly control the care of these crops in accordance with agricultural standards, ensure timely payments for work performed between cotton and wheat producers and service organizations and enterprises in the regions, as well as proper preparation for the cocoon production season.

The President of Turkmenistan ordered to ensure control over compliance with deadlines and proper implementation in the regions of the work planned for this year in accordance with the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

Concluding the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants sound health, family well-being and great success in their work.
