Today, on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the Homeland's independence, a ceremony was held in accordance with decrees signed by the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The ceremony included awarding state honors to military personnel and granting new military and special ranks, as well as class ranks to servicemen and law enforcement officers. 

Over the years of independence, the national Armed Forces have become an unshakable stronghold of the independent Turkmen state. The state focuses on strengthening the material and technical base of the Armed Forces and improving the living conditions of servicemen and their families.

Receiving awards with great pride, participants of the ceremony, who have dedicated their lives to defending their beloved Homeland, kneel and kiss the edge of the sacred State Flag of Turkmenistan as a sign of fidelity to their military oath, eternal devotion to their Homeland, and readiness to selflessly guard the peaceful and constructive life of Turkmens.

"For several decades, we have successfully implemented comprehensive programs to improve the level and quality of life of our courageous people, create a competitive national economy, and comprehensively develop our Homeland," emphasized in President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's Address to the people of Turkmenistan on Independence Day.

Proclaiming positive neutrality, peacefulness, good neighborliness and constructive international cooperation as key principles of state policy, Turkmenistan implements a Military Doctrine that is purely defensive in nature and aims to ensure the country's security and high defense capability of the National Army, which serves as a guarantor of peaceful and prosperous life for its people.

Our warriors have mastered modern military equipment and weapons impeccably, making a significant contribution to the country's dynamic development while always adhering to high ancestral principles such as justice, wisdom, resilience, courage, fearlessness and patriotism.

As emphasized by the head of state, our Homeland is a country of courageous people. The sacred duty of our defenders is to strictly adhere to the goals and principles of the Military Doctrine developed based on Turkmenistan's foreign policy aimed at strengthening peace and security, maintaining our neutrality's legal status, ensuring security and integrity of our Homeland's borders.

Today, the dreams of the great poet-thinker Magtymguly Fragi about an independent state have come true. The Turkmen people live happily and create in a peaceful, prosperous and powerful country where high and noble aspirations of ancestors have become reality.

The servicemen awarded for impeccable service and conscientious fulfillment of their sacred military duty expressed heartfelt gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the high appreciation of their services to the Homeland. They assured that they would continue to selflessly fulfill their responsible tasks, faithfully serve their Fatherland while honoring military traditions, demonstrating patriotism, bravery and courage.
