With a view of participation in the international exhibition of «smart» cities - «World Smart City Expo» on the basis of the corresponding Order signed recently by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov as well as meetings with manufacturers of medical equipment in the Republic of Korea necessary for realisation of the medical cluster of Arkadag city and acquaintance with profile factories in place, members of the delegation of Turkmenistan nowadays make a working visit to the Republic of Korea. At the international exhibition of «smart cities» - «World Smart City Expo», which took place within the visit, the Turkmen delegation presented the pavilion devoted to the «smart» city of Arkadag, which as a result received three awards.

Representatives of provinces of the Republic of Korea, local and foreign companies, various foreign states, including Turkmenistan, the People’s Republic of China, Japan, Malaysia, Kingdom of Thailand, Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Kingdom of Denmark, Finland and the State of Israel took part in the world expo «World Smart City Expo». At the exhibition, 116 pavilions with participation of representatives at the level of ministers, deputy ministers and governors from more than 60 countries were presented.

At the prestigious exhibition, the Turkmen side presented possibilities and features of the «smart» city of Arkadag.

Foreign and national cities and companies, which distinguished in various spheres, received awards among exhibitors. It is necessary to note that to the «smart» city of Arkadag was the first among participants of the given event to receive an award.

The city of Arkadag was given following awards: « Smart City Excellence Award» for achievements in the area of «smart» cities as well as in nominations « Foreign Smart City Award» and Award for significant contribution to the international exhibition «World Smart City Expo 2024». A special pride evokes the fact that the city of Arkadag was the only city to receive the award as the most outstanding «smart» city.

Speaking at the awarding ceremony, the head of Turkmen delegation, Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the city of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan D.Orazov, in particular, pointed out that the Korean side carried out the given event at high level. It was underlined that technologies and systems of «smart» cities corresponding to modern requirements were presented there. Having expressed sincere gratitude for recognition of achievements of the «smart» city of Arkadag, its appreciation and appropriated awards, the head of Turkmen delegation underlined that it is the evidence of achievement of high boundaries in the town-planning sphere in independent neutral Turkmenistan thanks to efforts of Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar.

The city of Arkadag as a model in every respect - pride of Turkmen people. The «smart» city located in a magnificent corner at the foothills of the Kopetdag, represents a national model of town planning, which has embodied advanced tendencies of world architecture and technological achievements. Three awards, which the city of Arkadag won at the world expo of «smart» cities - «World Smart City Expo» in the Republic of Korea also attest to the fact.

It serves as further acknowledgement of the fact that innovative ideas and solutions of Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar in the field of town planning are realised into practice and find support and a high appreciation of the world community.
