Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via the digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyyev and khyakims of the velayats. The pace of seasonal work in the agro-industrial complex and regions was submitted for consideration.

The first word to speak for a report on the implementation of agricultural activities was given to the head of the administration of Akhal velayat S. Soltanmyradov.

Above all, the khyakim, on behalf of the residents, expressed great gratitude to the head of state for the opening of a modern secondary school for 1,200 students and a dormitory for 120 people in Bokurdak village, Ak Bugday etrap, on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth. The head of the regional administration also addressed wishes of good health, longevity and success in large-scale activities to the head of state and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag.

Then, it was reported on the organizational work in connection with the upcoming start of wheat sowing, as well as cotton harvesting.

As conveyed, everything necessary is being done to properly prepare cotton ginning plants and raw material collection points, combines and transport for the white harvest.

In the fields allocated for sowing wheat, plowing and soil leveling continue. All work is carried out in accordance with agricultural technology standards. Specialized equipment and units, including seeders, as well as seed material are also being prepared for sowing.

The head of the regional administration also informed about the pace of construction of social and industrial infrastructure facilities. According to the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028, the opening of new buildings is timed to coincide with the 33rd anniversary of independence.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to ensure the optimal conduct of the upcoming important campaigns – wheat sowing and cotton harvesting.

At the same time, the khyakim was assigned to monitor compliance with the quality requirements and deadlines for completing the construction of facilities scheduled for opening on the occasion of the significant holiday.

Next, the khyakim of Balkan velayat H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the pace of seasonal activities in the agricultural sector of the region.

As reported, the necessary efforts are being made to organize the start of the wheat sowing and cotton harvesting campaigns.

Everything necessary is being done to ensure the smooth functioning of specialized enterprises, reception points, cotton harvesters and other equipment during the white harvest. In addition, plowing and leveling of the soil continue in the fields to be sown with wheat. Units and specialized equipment, including seeders, are also being prepared for the campaign, and farmers are provided with high-quality seeds.

It was also informed on the progress of construction of social and industrial infrastructure facilities, the commissioning of which is timed to coincide with the 33rd anniversary of the country’s independence.

After hearing the report and focusing on the start of a very important agricultural season, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered that appropriate measures being taken to complete the sowing of wheat in a short time and harvest cotton without losses.

Stressing the importance of successfully solving the tasks envisaged by the programs for the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan, the head of state instructed the khyakim to monitor compliance with the quality requirements and deadlines for completing the construction of facilities scheduled for opening this year on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the country’s independence.

The working meeting via the digital system continued with a report by the khyakim of Dashoguz velayat D. Babayev, who reported on the progress of agricultural work.

As noted, the region is comprehensively preparing for the start of wheat sowing and cotton harvesting.

In order to harvest without losses and ensure uninterrupted reception for the season, cotton ginning enterprises, receiving points, as well as combines and vehicles for transporting raw cotton have been prepared.

In the areas planned for sowing wheat, plowing, planning and moisture-charging irrigation are carried out in accordance with agro-technical standards. Agricultural machinery and equipment have also been prepared, farmers are provided with high-quality seed material.

Along with this, measures are being taken to care for and fertilize the rice fields of the velayat with minerals.

It was informed on the progress of construction of cultural and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning by the 33rd anniversary of the country’s independence.

Having heard the report and noting the importance of a responsible approach to the tasks set for the organized sowing of wheat and harvesting of cotton, the President of Turkmenistan gave the khyakim a number of specific commissions.

The head of state also ordered to ensure high-quality execution of construction work on social and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the country’s independence.

Then, the khyakim of Lebap velayat M. Annanepesov, on behalf of the residents of the region, expressed sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for the opening of schools for 960 and 400 pupils in Khodjambaz city, Khodjambaz etrap, and in Alpan village, Merye gengeshlik, Sayat etrap, respectively, wishing Arkadagly Hero Serdar and the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag good health, longevity and success in their responsible and important work in the interests of their native people and the state.

The head of the regional administration reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work.

As noted, preparations are underway in the velayat for the ceremonial start of sowing wheat and harvesting cotton. Plowing, land planning and surveying, soil leaching and moisture-charging irrigation are being carried out in the areas allocated for wheat. In order to sow wheat in an organized manner and within the agro-technical timeframe, measures are being taken to prepare agricultural machinery and equipment involved in sowing, and to provide farmers with high-quality seeds in the required volume.

At the same time, proper care of crops continues in the rice fields of the velayat.

Cotton ginning enterprises and receiving points, as well as cotton harvesters and vehicles, are fully prepared for the start of the harvest in the region.

It was informed on the state of affairs in the construction within the framework of the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country for 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program for social and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning this year.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that preparations for sowing wheat and harvesting cotton should be organized at a high level and gave the khyakim relevant instructions in this regard.

In addition, the head of state ordered to keep under review the quality and timing of construction work in the velayat at various facilities that are planned to be commissioned this year within the framework of the socio-economic development programs of the Homeland.

Then the khyakim of Mary velayat B. Orazov reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the region.

First of all, on behalf of the residents of the velayat, the khyakim expressed great gratitude to the head of state for the construction of a kindergarten for 160 children in Saryyazy village, Tahtabazar etrap, and a comprehensive school for 500 children in Mary city, which were commissioned on the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, and wished the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, good health, longevity, and further success in government activities.

Then the head of the regional administration continued his report.

As noted, the velayat is preparing for the start of wheat sowing and cotton harvesting at a high organizational level.

Necessary measures are being taken to prepare cotton ginning plants, reception centers, cotton harvesters and vehicles for transporting raw cotton for the season.

Plowing, leveling and fertilizing the soil with minerals are being carried out on agricultural lands allocated for sowing wheat. Agricultural machinery is being brought into readiness, and wheat producers are provided with high-quality seeds.

At the same time, sugar beet crops are being cared for in the velayat.

It was informed on the progress of construction work on cultural, household and industrial facilities, which, in accordance with the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country and the National Rural Program, are planned to be completed in the velayat by the 33rd anniversary of the independence of the Homeland. After hearing the report, the head of state emphasized the importance of sowing wheat in an organized manner and within the agro-technical timeframe, harvesting cotton without losses, and gave the khyakim a number of specific instructions in this regard.

The President of Turkmenistan ordered to monitor the quality and timing of construction of various facilities in the velayat in accordance with the Program for the socio-economic development of the country.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyyev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the country.

As noted, with the blessing of the head of state, sowing of wheat will start in the velayats on September 4 of this year with the participation of elders. Along with this, preparations are underway for the cotton harvesting campaign, in particular cotton ginning enterprises, receiving points, cotton harvesters, vehicles for transporting raw materials and other agricultural equipment. In order to grow a rich wheat harvest next year, plowing, leveling, and land surveying work is currently underway in the sown areas. Units, agricultural machinery, and high-quality seed material have been prepared.

Rice fields in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats are being tended, while fields in Mary velayat sown with sugar beets are being cultivated, fertilized with minerals, and irrigated.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the challenges facing the agricultural sector today, and in this regard, instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to monitor the preparations for sowing wheat and harvesting cotton at a high organizational level. Addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state once again emphasized the importance of sowing and cotton harvesting campaigns, noting that all necessary measures should be taken to conduct them in an organized manner, as well as to care for winter crops in accordance with agricultural technology standards, and gave a number of specific instructions.

Concluding the working meeting via the digital system, the President of the country wished its participants success in their work.
