An official mascot and brand of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games have been approved. Expressive symbols, reflecting the national identity, ethnographic and cultural-historical peculiarities of our country, the world of its nature and folk traditions have supplemented the complex of various attributes of Asian Games-2017. The main difference of our brand from others of the kind, perhaps, is in its complete likeness to a full-fledged work of art. Having a slightly modified form of a national jewel, the symbol as if saying that even the recognized canons of perfection change in the course of time, and only in the movement, development and renewal is the life. The light-colored strip of the life line runs through the whole picture, which dovetailed the epochs, different seasons and various landscapes of the Turkmen land. In the brand ornaments of the Asian Games one can easily discern the outlines of famous Turkmen historical and new architectural masterpieces, the image of white yurts, carpet gels (ornament), articles of jewelry, and, even, the fights of wrestlers. The viewer’s eye glides along the endless plot line. And the «line» smoothly passes into the silhouette of a flying bird. This is the history of our country’s flight to a new level, its ascent towards great goals. Well, the talisman of the Games will be Alabay (Turkmen breed of dog). Cute and funny puppy, with the characteristic signs of the breed, is depicted in a stylized national dress or in a sport uniform. Alabay - is a true friend and defender, strong and brave, with whom you can feel safe. In the popular imagination, it symbolizes the will for victory, indomitableness and sporting excitement. At the same time, we see in it a boundless dedication and trust. It is trust and friendship became the key concepts, which were put in the creation of this image. At the same time, popular marathons are picking up speed in other spheres - tourism, culture, education, etc. One such is the President-initiated 500-day equestrian race, which will finish on the day of the Asian Games opening on the main arena of the Olympic Village. The TV reports and newspaper articles are an opportunity to follow the course of the race, which covers the main notable places of the country’s five velayats. Thus, we show to the world our country, its nature, the famous monuments of history and culture; we present our customs and colorful rites and ceremonies. And, of course, we present our Akhalteke horses in all their charm - our pride and glory. Exactly the horse has become the main symbol of the Asian Games. The posterized image of the head of horse, which breaks off the finishing tape, is showily depicted on the official logo of the Games. Racehorse is not just a symbol of Ashgabat Asian Games; it is the symbol of the whole country, of our modern epoch.
