Today the country widely celebrates the Day of Workers of Culture and Art, as well as the poetry of «Magtymguly Fragi». The Week of Culture is dedicated to this holiday, the annual holding of which has become a noble tradition.

The large-scale creative forum, held in the year «The Fount of the Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi» in the city of Arkadag, was filled with bright events that demonstrated the huge potential of national culture and the professional growth of workers in the relevant field.

Numerous events of the festival of arts were notable for their entertainment and content, testifying to the continuity of the creative process of the colossal work that is being carried out in Turkmenistan under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the benefit of the people, for the sake of the prosperity of the Fatherland.

Within the framework of the Week, exhibitions of fine and decorative arts, museum treasures, and publishing products were held. Lovers of poetry and folklore attended a literary evening and concerts of cultural and artistic figures of the country. Numerous young forum participants demonstrated their talents. Stage masters also prepared creative gifts for this occasion.

The thematic conferences, a workshop, a round table, and a briefing updated the issues of preserving, studying and popularizing the national historical and cultural heritage, developing various genres of art, improving the activities of museums, libraries, and the use of digital technologies for these purposes.

The final day of the cultural forum began with a flower-laying ceremony at the foot of the monument to the great son of the Turkmen people, «Magtymguly Pyragy», as a sign of recognition and admiration for his poetic genius. The monument is located in the cultural and park complex «Magtymguly Pyragy», in the picturesque foothills of the Kopetdag.

It is symbolic that in our country the professional holiday of cultural and artistic figures is combined with the honouring of an outstanding master of words who glorified enduring universal values and humanistic ideals. The fact that this double holiday is celebrated at the same time has a special meaning. The rich literary heritage of Magtymguly, whose poetic lines are pure, like spring water flowing from the tops of the mountains, has become an example and an exemplary school for poets, prose writers, journalists, artists, sculptors, bagshy musicians, composers, and actors.

The majestic sculpture of the Eastern thinker, classical poet Magtymguly is installed on a natural hill. The height of the monument is 60 meters, and the pedestal on which winged lines from the poem of the great humanist and philosopher «The Future of Turkmenistan», as well as lines from the poem by Hero-Arkadag «The Fount of the Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi» are carved, is 25 meters.

The outstanding poet, who dreamed that the Turkmen people would live a peaceful and happy life, left a huge poetic legacy filled with wisdom and the warmest feelings. Surprisingly clear, deep judgments in his wonderful poems about the future meet the spiritual needs of not only the Turkmen people, but also all of humanity.

The initiator of the widespread celebration of the 300^th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker Magtymguly, the popularization of the poet’s works in the world, which have become a universal value, as well as the creation of his monument is the National Leader of the Turkmen people. It was Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in his poem «The Fount of the Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi», praising the rich creativity of the poet-thinker, who further glorified him as a great personality.

...Flower baskets and bouquets laid at the foot of the pedestal became a symbol of people's love, deep veneration of the humanist poet, as well as appreciation and admiration for his talent.

The congratulatory Address of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to workers in the sphere of culture and art and to the entire Turkmen people was solemnly heard, which the audience listened to with great attention and enthusiasm.

The message of the head of state emphasizes that a special place in increasing the creative potential of the Motherland is given to the sphere of culture. Culture and art are the spiritual heritage of the people, the development of which ensures the unity of society and the spiritual revival of the nation. In our sovereign country, all conditions are created for improving national culture, art, literature, and raising the professional level of creative workers.

The Address of the President of Turkmenistan also notes that the various events organized in honour of the holiday evoke feelings of joy and pride in the hearts of compatriots. The 300^th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker of the East «Magtymguly Fragi» is widely celebrated by happy Turkmen people in unity and prosperity. The bright dreams of the classical poet about state independence and the unity of the people became the reality of a new historical era thanks to the foresight and wisdom of Hero-Arkadag. Today we live in the wonderful time that «Magtymguly Fragi» dreamed of, we are proud of the high authority of Turkmenistan in the international arena and its achievements.

The closing ceremony of Culture Week 2024 was held at the State Drama Theater named after Aman Gulmammedov, where a concert of art masters took place. The festive program opened with the literary and musical composition «Sungatyň mekany»! performed by theatre artists.

On the stage of the magnificent hall, people's and honored artists of Turkmenistan performed with inspired songs glorifying the independent Fatherland and reflecting the depth of the kindest feelings and gratitude of national cultural figures to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the ongoing policy of peace and friendship, large-scale work promoting the study of the glorious history and culture of the Turkmen people, preservation and popularization of their material and spiritual heritage, and the flourishing of modern art. Among them are «Ýaşa Arkadag, Gahryman Serdarymyz»! «Arkadag şäheri», «Arkadagym, Arkadagly Serdarym».

The celebration continued with folklore compositions created based on Turkmen folk destans: «Geler sallana» («Shasenem and Garyp»), «Duran ýerlerne» («Zohre and Tahir»), «Nätilär menden» («Sayatly Hemra»). The original traditions of the Turkmen people were reflected in magnificent numbers, plot-driven as small bright performances, as well as in folklore performances.

The masters of art prepared many premieres for their professional holiday. Performances by established and young performers - winners of creative competitions - created a palette of action shimmering with all colors, where ancient music and songs were organically combined with dynamic pop rhythms of our days and classical dance performances.

The concert was decorated with works dedicated to «Magtymguly Fragi», whose literary heritage is an enduring spiritual and moral testament for the current and future generations of Turkmenistan, and also rightfully constitutes the artistic heritage of the peoples of the world – «Magtymgulydyr», «Pähim-paýhas ummany Magtymguly Pyragy».

The audience greeted the folk group «Laçyn» with thunderous applause, performing the ancient dance kushtdepdi - a kind of symbol of the inextricable connection of times and generations, which embodied the unity of the people and their creative inspiration.

The multicolored colors of national costumes, symbolizing the age-old traditions of the people, gave a special flavour to the performances of dance and folk groups «Näzli», «Ahal öwüşginleri», «Serpaý». Story videos served as a striking addition to the creative performances.

At the end of the concert, the patriotic song «Gülle sen, sungatym gül Diýarymda»! was performed. performed by soloists and all participants of the celebration, which became a pathetic ode, filling the souls of Turkmenistan people with a sense of pride for their beloved Fatherland. The monitors showed footage reflecting the creative strides of modern times and the successes of the country's artistic masters.

In general, the festive program sounded like a hymn to the great power of culture and art, uniting and inspiring our people under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for new labour victories and creative achievements.

The participants of the Culture Week accepted an Address of gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in which they expressed deep gratitude for the tireless concern for improving the cultural sphere, creating favourable conditions for comprehensive creative activity and the development of interstate humanitarian cooperation, as well as for the opportunity to hold this forum at a high level.

The festive day ended with a creative evening dedicated to the poetry of «Magtymguly Pyragy», which took place on the square of the «Magtymguly Pyragy» cultural and park complex. It is symbolic that this place has become a meeting centre for cultural figures, as well as numerous admirers of the talent of the outstanding poet and philosopher.

Art historians and experts of Magtymguly’s creativity noted that he enriched poetry with folk forms of artistic expression and advanced ideas of his time. Based on the nature of the original Turkmen language, having cleared the literary style accepted at that time from various layers and foreign expressions, Magtymguly brought his poetic language closer to living colloquial speech. His poems are deeply imbued with the spirit and style of folklore, so they were immediately accepted by people.

Songs based on poems created by the unfading creative genius Magtymguly, which reflected all the beauty that has formed the basis of the national mentality from time immemorial, sounded as a hymn to the fulfillment of the centuries-old dream of the Turkmen people.

The works of the great philosopher awaken love for the Fatherland in every citizen, contribute to the education of future generations in the spirit of high morality so that young Turkmen citizens become educated, professionals in their field, worthy of creating for the sake of the prosperity of the country and the people, and all humanity.
