At the international ice hockey tournament ongoing in Ashgabat, the third-round matches ended today.

In the afternoon, a match in group «A» took place between the teams «Feniks» (Uzbekistan) and «Bahrain Ice Hockey Club» (Bahrain) in the large arena of the Sports Complex for Winter Sports.

The Uzbek team was determined to play and scored five unanswered goals against the opponent in the first half. At the same time, the third goal, scored by Abdusamad Nasirov, turned out to be very curious. The striker of the Uzbek club decided to stretch the goalkeeper of the Bahraini team with a weak wrist shot from his zone, as if in training. However, he was not ready to reflect the fairly light puck that flew through all the zones.

In the second period, the Bahrainis somewhat reduced the gap in the score, winning three goals and conceding another one. The teams went into the second break with the score 6:3 in favour of the «Feniks» team.

The final 20 minutes passed with an overwhelming advantage for the Uzbek hockey players, who scored seven more unanswered goals into the opponent’s goal, setting the final score at 13:3 in their favour.

In a parallel match of Group «B», which took place in the small arena of the Winter Sports Sports Complex, the «ADIHIC-Kazan» team from the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation won their second victory in the tournament, beating Team-Turkiye (Turkey) - 5:1 (3:0, 1:1, 1:0). The winners scored: Aisa Akmyarov (7^th minute), Rashat Ismagilov (13^th), Ilnur Ganiyev (19^th), Artur Zaripov (21^st) and Adel Avzalov (42^nd). The losers scored a prestige goal from Altun Kerem (34th).

Let us remind you that earlier today the eight-time champion of Turkmenistan «Galkan» won the third major victory in the tournament, this time over the «Ice Box Iran Mall» team from Iran - 13:1 (6:0, 6:1, 1:0). And in another parallel match, the Belarusian club «Volat» won a second victory in a row, inflicting the first defeat on the «Aqmola» team from Kazakhstan - 6:4 (2:0, 2:1, 2:3). The winners distinguished themselves: Svyatoslav Zasadskiy (12^th minute), Vladislav Kavalyov (19^th), Eduard Gryn (25th), Nikita Trubitsin (39^th), Vitaliy Marchenko (42^nd), Alexey Zasim (59^th). I). And the losers are Sergey Sokol (30^th), Vladislav Kurmelevskiy (45^th and 48^th) and Mikhail Tarasov (56^th).

In this way, after three rounds in Group «A», «Galkan» holds the lead with 9 points. Second place with 6 points is taken by the undefeated «Feniks», who has played one less game. «Ice Box Iran Mall» has 3 points. And the «Oman Nationals» (Oman) and «Bahrain Ice Hockey Club» teams have no points yet.

In group «B», the leadership with 6 points is shared by «ADIHIC-Kazan», «Volat» and «Aqmola». At the same time, hockey players from Kazakhstan played one more match. The «Dordoi» (Kyrgyzstan) and «Team-Turkiye» teams have no points yet.

In the fourth round, the matches of which will take place on the 18^th of April, they will play: in group «A» – «Galkan» (Turkmenistan) – «Feniks» (Uzbekistan), «Oman Nationals» (Oman) – «Ice Box Iran Mall» (Iran); and in group «B» – «Volat» (Belarus) – «ADIHIC-Kazan» (Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation), «Team-Turkiye» (Türkiye) – «Dordoi» (Kyrgyzstan).
