Atahallyev, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, and the khyakims of velayats, during which the progress of seasonal field work in the country was reviewed.
The floor was first given to Akhal Velayat Khyakim R. Hojagulyev, who reported on the pace of agricultural campaigns in the region.
As was reported, these days, the treatment of wheat fields is underway in accordance with the agro-technical requirements, in particular, vegetation irrigation. Work on leveling and planning the land, preparing agricultural machinery and equipment for sowing cotton and high-quality seeds is at the final stage.
In addition, the sowing of potatoes and onions continues in the velayat, and preparations are in progress for planting other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops.
Appropriate steps are taken to organize festive events on the occasion of International Women’s Day, including ceremonies for presenting cash gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan to all women working at enterprises, organizations, schoolgirls, kindergarten children, students, pensioners and women receiving state benefits.
The report also covered the progress of implementing in the velayat the provisions outlined for this year in the National Rural Program.
Having heard the report, and stressing the importance of high-quality seasonal agricultural work ongoing these days, Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the khyakim to assure the compliance with agro-technical standards when caring for wheat and preparing for sowing cotton.

Addressing the governors of velayat, the head of state emphasized the importance of the organized and timely planting of potatoes, onions and other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops, and full preparation of all agricultural machinery and equipment for sowing, giving a number of instructions in this regard.
