Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting via a digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev, who is on charge of the agro-industrial complex, and the khyakims of velayats to review the progress of agricultural work in the regions of the country.

The floor was first given to Akhal Velayat Khyakim R. Hojagulyev, who reported on the pace of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.

As was reported, these days wheat is cared for according to agro-technical standards. As part of preparations for sowing cotton, areas are plowed and planned, the serviceability of agricultural machinery and equipment is checked, and farmers are timely supplied with high-quality seeds. Along with this, equipment, fields and seeds are prepared for planting potatoes and other crops.

The governor of the region also reported on measures to maintain trouble-free heating of residential buildings, schools, kindergartens and other social facilities in the velayat, as well as on the implementation of provisions outlined in the National Rural Program this year.

Having heard the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to conduct seasonal agricultural campaigns at the proper level, ordering to ensure the compliance with the agro-technical requirements when treating wheat fields, preparing areas for sowing cotton, potatoes and other fruits and vegetables, as well as supplying farmers with high-quality seeds for the planting season.

Along with this, the head of state emphasized the importance of the successful implementation of provisions specified in the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country, giving the khyakim a number of instructions.

Then Balkan Velayat Khyakim H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the progress of agricultural work in the region.

As was reported, the velayat is currently preparing for sowing cotton, agricultural machinery and equipment to be operated, and high-quality seeds adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the region.

At the same time, the treatment of wheat fields continues in accordance with agro-technical standards. Preparations are under way for planting potatoes and other fruits and vegetables.

The khyakim reported on measures for the trouble-free supply of heat to residential buildings and social facilities, and steps being taken to implement the provisions outlined in the National Rural Program.

Summing up the report, the head of state stressed the importance of ensuring the high quality of agricultural work in progress these days, instructing the governor of the region to keep under constant control the compliance with the agro-technical requirements when treating wheat fields, preparing lands and high-quality seeds for sowing cotton, as well as planting potatoes and other fruits and vegetables. 

Moreover, the President of Turkmenistan ordered to keep the focus on the implementation of provisions specified for this year under the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022–2028.

The working meeting via a digital system was continued with a report from Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim S. Soltanmyradov on the progress of agricultural work in the region.

As was reported, land plowing and planning are carried out in the areas allocated for cotton in accordance with agro-technical standards. Wheat fields are treated.

The report also covered the preparation of agricultural machinery and equipment for the spring sowing of cotton, providing farmers with high-quality seeds adapted to the natural and climatic conditions of the region.

Preparations for planting potatoes and other fruit and vegetable crops, seeds and land are in progress.

At the same time, work to maintain proper operation of heating systems at residential buildings, schools and kindergartens is kept under control.

The report included information on the implementation of provisions outlined in the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022–2028 and the National Rural Program.

As was reported, guided by the objectives set by the President of the country to grow a bountiful harvest of agricultural crops, seasonal work is well underway in the region. Appropriate measures are taken to prepare for cotton sowing, including land plowing and planning, vegetative irrigation, repairing agricultural machinery and equipment, as well as timely provision of cotton growers with high-quality seeds.

Wheat care continues according to agro-technical standards.

Along with this, the land plowing and planning work for the spring sowing of potatoes, and other fruits and vegetables is at the final stage in the velayat. 

During these winter time, daily monitoring is carried out over the trouble-free operation of the heating systems at residential buildings, schools, kindergartens and other social facilities.

The report also covered the construction progress of social, large industrial and engineering facilities in the velayat scheduled for commissioning this year under the National Rural Program.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of ensuring the high quality of seasonal work currently underway in the agro-industrial complex. In this regard, the khyakim was instructed to keep under control the issues of compliance with agro-technical standards when treating wheat fields, accelerated cultivation of land for the upcoming sowing of cotton, providing tenant farmers with high-quality seeds adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the region, as well as comprehensive preparation for the spring planting of potatoes and other fruits and vegetables. 

The head of state also ordered to keep under strict control the deadlines and quality of work planned in the velayat as part of the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country.

Then Mary Velayat Khyakim B. Orazov reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

As was reported, the wheat care continues with the goal of growing a bountiful harvest in 2024.

At the same time, constant attention is focused on plowing and planning areas allocated for cotton, application of mineral fertilizers, as well as preparing machinery and equipment to be operated in the spring sowing, and providing farmers with selected seeds.

Guided by the objectives set by the President of Turkmenistan to further strengthen food abundance in the country, preparations are under way for the spring planting of potatoes and other fruits and vegetables on a comprehensive basis.

The relevant services monitor the trouble-free operation of the heating systems at residential buildings, schools, and kindergartens.

The report included information on the construction progress of social and industrial facilities, scheduled for the commissioning this year as part of the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022–2028 and the National Rural Program.

Summing up the report, and emphasizing the importance of high-quality completion of seasonal agricultural activities, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to keep under control the compliance with agro-technical standards when treating wheat fields, cultivating areas for cotton, providing farmers with selected seeds, as well as preparing for planting potatoes and other fruits and vegetables. 

Furthermore, the head of state gave the khyakim a number of specific instructions for the high-quality implementation in the velayat of provisions specified for this year under the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev, who supervises the agro-industrial complex, reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

As was reported, in order to gather a high yield, wheat is cared for taking into account the agro-technical requirements.

Plowing and planning continues in the areas allocated for cotton sowing. Measures are taken to repair and prepare agricultural machinery and equipment for the season.

Cotton ginning enterprises carry out work to prepare and store seeds to provide farmers with high-quality planting stock.

The report also covered preparations for the spring sowing campaign, in particular, the checkup and repair of agricultural machinery and equipment, processing fields allocated for sowing potatoes, fruits and vegetables.

Having heard the report, and emphasizing the importance of the challenges facing the agro-industrial complex, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the deputy prime minister to keep the focus on preparing the areas allocated for cotton and high-quality seeds for the upcoming season, compliance with agro-technical deadlines and standards when caring for wheat, and land treatment for planting potatoes and other fruits and vegetables, as well as providing farmers with seeds.

Addressing the governors of velayats, the head of state ordered to keep under control preparations for the upcoming important sowing season, the readiness of agricultural machinery and equipment, as well as maintaining the trouble-free operation of heating systems at residential buildings and social facilities on these winter days.

Concluding the working meeting via a digital system, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the participants sound health and great success in performing their assigned duties.
