National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, speaking at the Turkmen-German business forum, invited German companies to cooperate in the field of transport.

«We invite the German business community to carefully study the possibilities of their participation in projects for the construction of modern transport infrastructure and communications in Turkmenistan», –said Hero-Arkadag.

According to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, today the country is carrying out full-scale construction of new transport hubs and corridors - road and rail, modernization of aviation and sea port infrastructure.

In this regard, the National Leader of the Turkmen people proposed to organize working meetings on a regular basis between transport departments, associations and companies of the two countries.

«The agenda of the meetings may include issues such as the participation of German companies in the modernization of the transport infrastructure of Turkmenistan, the creation of service centres in our country, the training of transport specialists and others», –noted Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

According to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, the possibility of cooperation with the «Deutsche Bahn» company (railroads) seems interesting for Turkmenistan.

In the field of civil aviation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people proposed to consider the possibility of developing air transportation between Turkmenistan and Germany, as well as joint management of airports in Turkmenistan.

In this regard, Hero-Arkadag noted that an appropriate legal framework should be prepared for the implementation of these projects.
