Well-consolidated and united in their aspirations, the Turkmen people with a feeling of immense pride, whose life in the modern epoch is illuminated by the inspiration of creative creation, today celebrates the glorious 32nd anniversary of the sacred independence of the Homeland in the year “Happy Youth with Arkadag Serdar”.

According to the established good tradition, the main festive events began with a solemn ceremony of laying flowers at the Independence Monument – a majestic architectural symbol that perpetuated in the memory of current and future generations a fateful historical event – the acquisition of sovereignty by our Motherland. The event was attended by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

From early morning, thousands of our compatriots and guests who arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in festive events gathered in the National Independence Park, at the majestic memorial complex. The solemn atmosphere is enhanced by the green cloths of Banners fluttering in the wind and bright bouquets of flowers.

The presidential car arrives at the festively decorated square in front of the Independence Monument. Everyone greets the head of Turkmenistan with great enthusiasm.

The President of the country walks down the carpet, along which the defenders of the Homeland are lined up. In the hands of representatives of the younger generation are the State Flags of Turkmenistan.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov goes to a specially designated place.

The National Anthem of Turkmenistan is played. In a solemn atmosphere, the President of the country lays a wreath at the memorial plate installed in front of the entrance to the memorial complex, a man-made symbol of the grandiose achievements of the modern history of the Turkmen people. The gilded spire of the Independence Monument, shining in the rays of the dawn sun, shoots high into the blue sky, embodying the Homeland’s aspiration to a bright future.

Following the head of state, wreaths and bouquets of flowers are laid by the Chairman of the Mejlis, deputy chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, khyakims of velayats and the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, representatives of public organizations, venerable elders, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in our country and international organizations, students, numerous residents and guests of the capital.

At the end of the ceremony, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov warmly said goodbye to its participants and left the venue.
