President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking at a meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, set tasks for the country's fuel and energy complex.

«The development of the oil and gas industry of our country, which has rich reserves of energy resources, diversification of natural gas supplies to world markets, processing of oil and gas resources to produce high-quality products that meet international standards, is one of the most important directions of the energy strategy of our independent state», –noted the head of Turkmenistan.

As an example, the President of Turkmenistan cited the construction of delayed coking and tar deasphalting installations at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, which provide the opportunity for deep, waste-free processing of crude oil.

In this regard, the head of state emphasized that it is necessary to complete the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, attract foreign investment for the development of the Turkmen section of the Caspian Sea, develop new technologies and modernize technical drilling capabilities, expand the boundaries of deep processing of hydrocarbons and exchange experience with leading foreign companies to introduce digital technologies and conduct geological exploration.
