Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting via a digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev, who supervises the agro-industrial complex, and the khyakims of velayats to discuss issues related to development of the agricultural complex, as well as the progress of work in the regions of the country.

The floor was first given to Akhal Velayat Khyakim К. Hodjagulyev, who reported on the state of work in the fields of the region.

As was reported, active preparations of cotton ginning enterprises, collection points and combine harvesters for the upcoming harvest are underway.

At the same time, plowing and planning are carried out in areas allocated for sowing grains of the next season, the equipment to be operated in the sowing campaign is arranged, and measures are taken to procure high-quality wheat seeds.

Treatment of plantations of winter potatoes and other crops continues in the velayat taking into account the agro-technical requirements.

In addition, the khyakim reported on the preparations for the opening of social facilities, timed to coincide with the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, as well as the 32nd anniversary of the country’s independence.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the importance of the ongoing seasonal field campaigns and instructed the khyakim to keep under constant control the work on preparing the soil for sowing wheat, supplying farmers with high-quality seeds, and properly organizing the cotton harvest campaign.

The head of state also ordered to ensure a high organizational level of the opening ceremonies of facilities for the new 2023-2024 academic year.

Then Balkan Velayat Khyakim H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the progress of agricultural work in the fields of the region.

As was reported, plowing and planning of lands allotted for sowing wheat is currently carried out. All measures are taken to prepare the necessary equipment and high-quality seeds.

Work is underway to prepare collection points, cotton ginning enterprises and combine harvesters for the upcoming cotton harvest.

Treatment of plantations of winter potatoes and other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops are carried out in accordance with agro-technical standards.

The report included information on the progress in the construction of social facilities, the commissioning of which is timed to coincide with the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, as well as the new academic year.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that an important requirement of today is to carry out seasonal field work in a high quality manner and in accordance with the agro-technical requirements, ordering to properly prepare land for wheat sowing, provide tenants with high-quality seeds and timely organize the upcoming cotton harvest campaign.

The khyakim was instructed to hold high-level opening ceremonies of social facilities on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth.

The working meeting via a digital system was continued with the report of Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim S. Soltanmyradov on the progress of field campaigns in the region.

As was reported, the plowing and planning of lands allotted for sowing winter wheat are properly carried out, combine harvesters are prepared, and measures are taken to provide farmers with high-quality seeds. Rice crops are cared for in accordance with agro-technical standards.

Combine harvesters and other agricultural machinery, collection points, and cotton ginning enterprises are prepared in order to gather the grown cotton crop quickly and without losses.

Sowing of vegetables, watermelons, melons and other crops will be carried out according to schedule, and the necessary measures are already taken for this.

The report also covered the construction progress of facilities, the opening of which is timed to coincide with the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, as well as preparations for the new academic year.

Having heard the report, the head of state emphasized the importance of ensuring the high quality of seasonal field campaigns, instructing the khyakim to control the work on plowing and planning lands for wheat sowing, supplying farmers with high quality seeds, and properly organizing the forthcoming cotton harvest campaign.

Information was provided on the construction of social and industrial facilities under the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country for 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program, as well as on preparations for the new academic year 2023-2024.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the importance of seasonal field work, emphasizing that wheat sowing must be carried out within agro-technical terms, qualitatively and at a high level. The cotton harvest campaign must also be well organized. In this regard, a number of specific instructions were given to the governor of the region.

Stressing the importance of successful implementation of the provisions outlined in the National Rural Program, the head of state instructed the khyakim to keep construction work under strict control, especially at facilities scheduled for commissioning.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, reported on the state of work in the fields of the regions.

As was reported, in order to carry out high-quality wheat sowing within the set agro-technical deadline, land preparation is carried out, in particular, plowing and planning, and agricultural machinery to be operated and seeds are prepared.

Collection points, cotton ginning enterprises, and motor vehicles for transporting the crop are arranged for the cotton harvesting campaign.

In addition, the planting of potatoes, vegetables, watermelons, melons and other crops, as well as the care for sprouts, continues.

The deputy prime minister reported that rice fields are treated in the Dashoguz and Lebap Velayats, and sugar beet is cared for in the Mary Velayat.

Having heard the report, and focusing on the need for the compliance with agro-technical standards in agricultural work, the head of state instructed the deputy prime minister to control the sowing of wheat, which must be carried out in a high quality and timely manner, as well as the preparation of all institutions for the cotton harvest campaign.

Issues related to planting potatoes, vegetables, watermelons, melons and other crops and caring for them must also be in the focus of the deputy prime minister’s attention.

Then, addressing the working meeting participants, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of a responsible approach to the implementation of agricultural work in the fields, giving relevant instructions.
