At the Ashgabat International Airport, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who arrived in the Turkmen capital to attend the trilateral summit.

The head of the highest representative body of the people's power of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that the upcoming talks at the highest level will provide an excellent opportunity to exchange views on the prospects for the development of a trilateral partnership - Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, expanding their interaction in the political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.

Within the framework of the meeting, a thorough exchange of views took place on the current state and prospects for further expansion of Turkmen-Uzbek relations, taking into account the existing solid potential and the priorities of the socio-economic development of the two countries.
