President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking at the Summit "Central Asia — Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf", proposed to intensify contacts in the field of medicine and sports.

According to the Head of state, the development of cooperation in medicine and health care is among the urgent tasks, and a number of important international initiatives in this area have been put forward by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.

"For their practical implementation and activation of contacts through medical diplomacy, we propose to hold the Medical Congress of Central Asia and the Gulf Cooperation Council in Ashgabat in 2025," the President of Turkmenistan emphasized.

The Turkmen leader also noted that the issue of developing partnership in the field of physical culture and sports is of great importance.

"Organization of the First International Sports Games of the Central Asian States and the Gulf Cooperation Council can be an initial step in this direction. We believe that such games should be open in nature, and Turkmenistan is ready to provide modern specialized infrastructure for this event and create optimal conditions for the participants of the Games," said President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
