Today, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held the first meeting of the Board of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the city of Arkadag. The outcomes of the activities of the Charitable Foundation, as well as issues related to the commencement of work of the Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Center named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and other matters were discussed with the participation of members of the Foundation Board and the Arkadag City Khyakim.

Congratulating those present on the opening of Arkadag city on June 29, as well as the Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Center, the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan wished them success in their work.

Having announced the agenda, the Hero Arkadag expressed confidence that today’s meeting would contribute to the further improvement of the Foundation’s performance.

The floor was first given to Vice-President of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship R. Bazarov.

Congratulating the National Leader of the Turkmen people on the opening of Arkadag city, R. Bazarov noted that the necessary conditions are created in the country at the state level for the harmonious development, realization of creative abilities, strengthening the health and prosperous life of young citizens brought up in the spirit of hard work and patriotism.

As was emphasized, due to the successful implementation by Arkadag Serdar of the important undertakings of the Hero Arkadag, a comprehensive social protection system has now been formed for the rising generation, as well as the provision of medical assistance to children in need of guardianship.

This is a striking illustration of the successful implementation of the state policy in the field of protecting the health of young citizens.

As was reported, over the past period, 140 operations were performed, as well as intensive treatment in hospitals for children in need of guardianship. Providing ambulances to pediatric departments of hospitals located in the regions of our Homeland, as well as the necessary medications funded by the Charitable Foundation contributes to increasing the efficiency of work in this area.

In this context, R. Bazarov emphasized the importance of large-scale measures ongoing in the country to support and stimulate the younger generation. Particular importance is attached to the issues of educating young citizens on the basis of primordial national traditions, giving orphanage pupils worthy names.

Noting that the humanitarian activities are based on the important initiatives of the Hero Arkadag, being successfully continued by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, R. Bazarov assured that he would make every effort to achieve the goals set in this area, and to ensure the well-coordinated work of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Having heard the report, the Hajji Arkadag emphasized the importance of further improvement of the Foundation’s activities, as well as the continuation by the elders of instructional and educational work among the youth.

Stressing that the Council of Elders was established under the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Hero Arkadag said that it is necessary to start working jointly with its members to provide comprehensive assistance and support to the younger generation, creating opportunities for identifying their abilities. The formation of a legislative framework for activities in this area is an important requirement of today, the National Leader of the Turkmen people specified, and gave a number of specific instructions to the relevant leaders.

Then the floor was given to the Foundation’s accountant E. Chernova.

Congratulating the Hero Arkadag on the opening of the new city and the publication of his book “Ömrümiň manysynyň dowamaty”, E. Chernova said that the Charitable Foundation assisted many children, purchased modern medical equipment was for the Arkadag City Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Center named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and sent humanitarian aid to foreign countries.

As was reported, the Charitable Foundation presented gifts to children on the occasion of significant dates, as well as to athletes who achieved high results in international competitions.

Summing up the report and noting that great state-level importance is attached in our country to charity and humanitarian assistance, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that the necessary medicines were sent for the maternity hospital built by domestic business people in Afghanistan, as well as a team of doctors, and this is a striking illustration of the continuity of noble traditions.

The Hero Arkadag also said that there are plans for allocating funds from the Charitable Foundation for the construction of production facilities as part of the second development phase of Arkadag city in order to produce medicines from local raw materials.

Then the National Leader of the Turkmen people gave the floor to M. Okuzova, the Director General of the Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Center named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Congratulating the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty on the new city’s opening and awarding a number of international certificates, as well as on the publication of the book “Ömrümiň manysynyň dowamaty”, M. Okuzova expressed gratitude, on behalf of all medical workers in the country, to Arkadag Doctor Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who specified the healthcare of his people as the main objective.

M. Okuzova reported on the measures taken to properly organize the work of the Center and doctors, as well as on the legislative foundations for the activity of the institution. As was noted, an appropriate action plan has been prepared.

Emphasizing that the medical requirements and orders of the Doctor Arkadag were identified as the most important provisions, M. Okuzova assured that every effort would be made to successfully complete the objectives set.

Having heard the report, and focusing on the importance of the proper organization of activities, the selection of highly qualified personnel for the Center, the scientist Arkadag instructed to keep in view the issues of improving the qualification of medical staff, as well as coordinating the work of relevant services.

Continuing the topic, and noting that the employment and housing of the Center’s employees must be approached taking into account the existing regulations and legislative instruments, the Hero Arkadag emphasized that the decisions made must also be legally grounded. To fulfill the objectives in this area, the coordination of specialized institutions is required. The heads of relevant services must not stand aside from this work, which has to be approached comprehensively and with all responsibility, the National Leader of the Turkmen people said.

The Hero Arkadag noted that the first meeting of the Board of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship has been held today. At the next meetings, ways to address existing issues will be discussed, taking into account the opinions of the members of the Council of Elders under the Charitable Foundation.

Stressing that the city of Arkadag became the first city in the region where the “smart city” concept was implemented, the National Leader of the Turkmen people said that it was built in the picturesque foothills of the Kopetdag, where the rich history of the people originated. And the fact that this beautiful city was built within such a short period of time is an indisputable evidence of rapid socio-economic development of Turkmenistan, the Hero Arkadag stressed.

This all is a visible result of the complex transformations ongoing under the leadership of Arkadag Serdar, aimed at improving the wellbeing of each family, educating the rising generation on the basis of national and universal spiritual values.

The Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was established for the purpose of social protection of young Turkmen citizens and creating conditions for their happy life, educating them in the spirit of patriotism and humanism, as well as providing assistance in restoring the health of children in need of care, Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.

Pointing out that the Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Center with modern medical equipment was put into operation as part of the opening ceremony of Arkadag city, which has taken place recently with the participation of Arkadag Serdar, the National Leader of the Turkmen people specified that it has outpatient and inpatient departments, where all conditions have been created for full treatment and funny pastime of children.

In the future, we will continue and expand the targeted program activities in this field, as well as international cooperation, the Doctor Arkadag said, emphasizing the importance of developing a solid legislative framework in this area. In accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of Turkmenistan, as well as the National Action Plan for the Realization of Children’s Rights for 2023-2028, approved by the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the most favorable living conditions are created in our country for young citizens.

Emphasizing that very responsible approach is taken in our Homeland to the protection of children, ensuring their physical, intellectual and spiritual development, and family support, the Hero Arkadag focused on the need to expand the scope of Foundation’s activities, and step up international cooperation. Great importance is also attached to measures to popularize among the population all aspects of Foundation’s work, including in the international space, and for this, information about the Foundation and relevant articles must be prepared and posted on websites.

Summing up the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that a number of important issues were considered today. Emphasizing that work in this area will be continued, the Hero Arkadag wished everyone success in achieving the goals set.
