The premiere of the opera performance «Arkaç» took place on the stage of the National Music and Drama Theatre named after Magtymguly.
The show of the new production is timed to coincide with the Week of Culture-2023 that started in the capital of Turkmenistan and the celebration of the Day of Cultural and Art Workers, as well as the poetry of Magtymguly Pyragy.
An opera performance based on a folk legend tells about the healing power of music and the fate of a young man who is in love with the daughter of a wealthy bay. Mutual feeling pushes the heroes to escape. But, having found family happiness, the young man is faced with a difficult life test.
The spectacle of the action is given by epic scenery, costumes and choreographic inserts.
It is worth noting that a large creative union worked on the implementation of the production - actors, vocalists, musicians, dancers, as well as employees of the theatre's technical services.
The author of the libretto is the People's Writer of Turkmenistan, playwright Govshutgeldi Danatarov. The musical component was performed by the People's Artist of Turkmenistan, composer Hudaynazar Amangeldiyev.
The production was directed by the Honored Art Worker of Turkmenistan Aynazar Batyrov. Conductor - People's Artist of Turkmenistan Gurbanmyrat Babayev.
The new production of the National Music and Drama Theatre named after Magtymguly was enthusiastically received by the audience.
