As TDH was informed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at 42 polling stations at diplomatic missions and consular offices of our country in foreign countries elections of deputies of the Mejlis, members of the Khalk Maslakhaty and Gengeshes for velayats, etraps and cities were held well organized with high activity of voters.

Polling stations opened in the early morning in accordance with the local time of each region of the planet. Organizers of the socio-political campaign created all necessary conditions so that students, who study abroad as well as citizens of our country, who happened to be abroad during the elections, could realize their constitutional rights.

According to the data provided by the Central Commission for holding elections and referendums in Turkmenistan, 12 907 voters were registered abroad. By 19.00 p.m. Ashgabat time over 12 300 people cast their votes.

According to observers, the voting process displayed a high civil activity, responsibility and consciousness of our compatriots, who live, work and study in different countries of the world from the first minutes of opening of polling stations.
