Over 60% of electors cast their votes in parliamentary elections

Today, in Turkmenistan on a wide alternative basis elections of deputies of the Mejlis, members of the Khalk Maslakhaty as well as Gengeshes in cities, etraps and velayats continues.

According to the data of the Central Commission for holding elections and referendums in Turkmenistan by 13 p.m. 61, 68 % of the total number of electors cast their votes for 61, 91 % of members of the Khalk Maslakhaty for velayats, etraps and cities and 61, 96 % of Gengeshes.

Present elections evoke an interest in many countries of the world. The mass site session of the Central Elections Committee where online broadcast from 240 polling stations goes on as well, also attests to the fact.

Both international and national observers carry out the monitoring of the electoral process.
