Today, solemn events on the occasion of International Women’s Day took place in the capital. As part of them, ceremonies were held to honor, on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, mothers who gave birth and raised eight or more children, and who, in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, were awarded the honorary title “Ene mähri”, and hand over keys to new comfortable apartments to large families.

As emphasized during the ceremonies, today, in the period of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, representatives of the fair sex of the Turkmen society hold high positions at state institutions, work fruitfully in many sectors of the national economy, making a considerable contribution to the ongoing large-scale reforms.

The women participating in the events expressed their deep gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for creating conditions in the country for the wellbeing of every family, the opportunity to realize their potential, raise and educate children in the prosperous neutral independent country.

As was highlighted, thanks to the attention paid by Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the widest opportunities open up for our female compatriots and the younger generation to get modern education, as well as for their comprehensive and professional development and happy life. In this regard, it was emphasized that the President of Turkmenistan specified these issues among priorities of the state social policy. A vivid example in this regard is the successful implementation of programs aimed at protecting motherhood and childhood, social support for large families, etc.

In Turkmenistan, women are provided with various state benefits, conditions are created for their decent life and work, and their role in social and political life is steadily increasing, which, undoubtedly, is an important factor in the sustainable development of society.

Like many millennia ago, our people preserve the sanctity of family values, and educate in each generation such high spiritual and moral principles as conscientiousness, modesty and diligence, respect for the mother and elders. A woman-mother has always played a special role in society. She is the eternal keeper of the family hearth and the moral foundations of society, its spiritual and humanistic ideals.

The modern era has become a time of true flourishing of the all-round talents of Turkmen women. Today they take an active part in all areas of state and public life. The role of the daughters of our Homeland is invaluable in maintaining high spiritual and ethical national foundations, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and educating a harmoniously developed generation - the future of the Homeland.

The current celebrations have become an unforgettable moments in a series of festive events. In the year ongoing under the motto “Happy youth with Arkadag Serdar”, pursuant to the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, about three hundred of our female compatriots were awarded the honorary title “Ene mähri”. This title is the highest distinction, great recognition of the mother’s great services to society and the state, the invaluable contribution of wonderful women to the progress and prosperity of the Homeland.

The state supports large families in every possible way, including the improvement of their living conditions. So this year, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, families with many children became the owners of new spacious apartments in a high-rise luxury house, celebrating their housewarming with great enthusiasm.

On behalf of all the women of the country, the participants in the celebrations expressed their deep gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the progressive transformations ongoing in the country, the creation of favorable conditions for a happy life and all-round activity, care for the younger generation, the preservation of high spiritual and moral values in society, and assured that they would continue to actively participate in all undertakings, aimed at the further flourishing of Independent Neutral Turkmenistan, and the wellbeing of every family and every person.

On the eve of International Women’s Day, ceremonies of presenting money gifts to women on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan were held in ministries, departments and their structural units, institutions and organizations, and enterprises of all forms of ownership. By tradition, these gifts were received by all representatives of the fair sex, without exception, including female students, pupils of preschool institutions and schoolgirls.

On these spring days, congratulations and warm wishes to female compatriots are heard everywhere, and concerts, exhibitions, competitions, various meetings and other events are held in their honor.
