The past week brought new evidence of successful implementation of the economic strategy of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in accordance with which large-scale programs and projects are being successfully implemented to ensure the further development of all spheres of life in the Motherland, increase the welfare of the people, and develop constructive mutually beneficial international cooperation.
The course of seasonal field work in the regions of the country was considered at a working meeting held by the head of state via the digital system on February 20.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to accelerate the pace of work to prepare cotton fields for sowing, to provide tenants with high-quality seeds. In accordance with the norms of agricultural technology, it is necessary to carry out proper care of wheat fields, to prepare the land for planting early potatoes and other vegetable crops.
At the same time, issues of rational use of water resources, including the uninterrupted supply of agricultural fields with irrigation water, should be kept in the spotlight.
The heads of administrations of the velayats were also instructed to regularly monitor the quality of work at construction sites for social and industrial purposes, provided for by the Program for the socio-economic development of the country.
On February 21, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Natalya Gherman, who is completing her mission as the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Central Asia and Head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA).
During the meeting, the successful activities of the Center for the promotion of preventive diplomacy, the creation of new formats of interaction and the implementation of specific programs in the region were noted.
The head of state thanked N. Gherman for her great personal contribution to the development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN and congratulated her on her appointment as Executive Director of the Executive Directorate of the UN Counter-Terrorism Committee.
Expressing confidence that the potential of the Center will continue to be in demand in such areas as counteracting modern challenges and threats, ensuring security, stability and sustainable development in the region and adjacent areas, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov confirmed the continued commitment of the Turkmen side to active joint work with the UN in good for world peace and prosperity.
It should be noted that topical issues and vectors for further development, the established close, fruitful cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNRCCA were also discussed during the meeting of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Central Asia, the head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia by Natalia Gherman.

On February 22, negotiations were held in Manama between the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who arrived the day before on an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.
Prior to the start of the top level negotiations, the head of Turkmenistan visited the Bahrain Economic Development Council. Focusing on the prospects for trade and economic partnership, the heads of the two states also stressed the importance of interaction in the humanitarian and cultural sphere as an integral factor in the rapprochement of the peoples of Turkmenistan and Bahrain.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited the King and Crown Prince, Prime Minister of Bahrain to visit Turkmenistan in the near future. The invitation was gratefully accepted.

The certificate of a partner in the Global Sea-Air Logistics Hub, according to which, based on the mutual desire to increase trade and economic relations, the Kingdom of Bahrain grants our country the status of a partner within this Hub, was transferred to the Turkmen side.
As a result of the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, a Joint Communiqué was adopted.

A demonstration of purebred Arabian horses, as well as horses of other breeds, including the famous Akhal-Teke horses, was organized for the distinguished guest at the equestrian ground located on the territory of the Palace.
In recognition of the merits in strengthening interstate cooperation and contribution to the development of primordial horse breeding traditions, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was presented with a gift of two beautiful Arabian horses.
The head of Turkmenistan thanked the King of Bahrain, noting the prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation between specialists in this field.
On the same day, the head of the Turkmen state visited the National Museum of the Kingdom of Bahrain, where he got acquainted with the multifaceted exposition dedicated to the ancient history of the Kingdom of Bahrain, its culture and art.
Having completed the program of the official visit, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov proceeded to the Bahrain International Airport, from where he departed for his homeland.
On February 24, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system, at which certain issues of the further socio-economic development of the country were discussed.
The topics discussed included the activities of the Parliament to improve the Turkmen legislation, the course of the election campaign for the election of deputies of the Mejlis, members of the velayat, etrap, city halk maslahaty and Gengeshes.
It was reported on the activities for the rational use of energy resources, seasonal field work, the implementation of the state strategy for environmental protection and ensuring environmental well-being, further improvement and improvement of the architectural and urban appearance of Ashgabat, modernization of the textile industry, and an increase in the volume of import-substituting products.
Information was provided on preparations for significant and festive dates of the calendar in the first month of spring, as well as for the planned international competition of scientific works among young people “High Technologies and Innovative Developments” and International Internet Olympiads in a number of universities in our country.
In addition, it was reported on the development of a draft Action Plan for the development of international cooperation aimed at attracting high and innovative technologies to the economy of Turkmenistan for 2023-2024.

During the meeting, information was also heard on the ongoing work aimed at the successful solution of the tasks outlined in the Program for the Development of Transport Diplomacy of the President of Turkmenistan for 2022-2025. At the meeting, the head of state signed a number of documents. Among them are the Decree on the transfer of the Service for Control over the Use of Petroleum Products of the Türkmennebitönümleri Department to the direct jurisdiction of the State Concern Türkmennebit, the Decree “On the zoning of crops and the production of products by velayats in 2023” and “On planting trees in Turkmenistan in 2023”, as well as the Order, according to which, on the eve of the March 8th holiday, on behalf of the head of state, women of the country will be presented with traditional cash gifts.
