Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting via a digital system with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister A. Yazmyradov, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, and the khyakims of velayats, during which the progress of agricultural work in the regions was considered.

First, the floor was given to Akhal Velayat Khyakim Ya. Gurbanov, who reported on the pace of seasonal agricultural campaigns, as well as on the fulfillment of the provisions outlined in the Program for Socio-Economic Development of the Country.

As was reported, the treatment of wheat crops is carried out in compliance with the requirements of agro-industrial technology, and measures are taken to prepare land for the spring sowing of cotton, and provide farmers with high-quality seed stock.

The machinery that will be used in the sowing campaign is repaired and put in order, and preparations are underway for planting early-ripening potatoes and other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops.

According to the schedule, the construction of facilities planned under the Program for Socio-Economic Development of the Country and the National Rural Program is in progress.

Having heard the report, the head of state emphasized the importance of carrying out agricultural work in accordance with agro-technical standards, instructing to increase their pace, including plowing and leveling of land allotted for cotton sowing.

Then Balkan velayat Khyakim T. Atahallyev reported on the course of agricultural campaigns in the western region of the Homeland, in particular, on the care for wheat crops.

As was reported, the work is carried out in strict accordance with the requirements of agricultural technology, plowing and leveling of land for the spring sowing of cotton continues. Urgent measures are taken to repair machinery and equipment that will be operated in the sowing campaign.

Preparations are underway for planting early-ripening potatoes and other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops. Efforts are made to provide tenant cotton growers with high quality seeds.

The khyakim also reported on the construction pace of facilities for various purposes, planned as part of the “National Program of the President of Turkmenistan on the transformation of the social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, etrap cities and etrap centers for the period up to 2028” and the Program for Socio-Economic Development of the Country.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the need to conduct seasonal agricultural campaigns in accordance with the requirements of the time. Issues related to compliance with standards of agricultural technology in the care for wheat crops, as well as plowing and leveling of land for sowing cotton must be strictly controlled. The khyakim was given specific assignments, including those related to the preparation for the spring sowing season.

The working meeting via a digital system was continued with the report of Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim N. Nazarmyradov on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the fields of the northern region of the country.

As was reported, all activities are carried out in strict accordance with standards of agricultural technology, including the planning and plowing of lands allotted for the cotton sowing, and tenant cotton growers are provided with high-quality seed stock.

At the same time, machinery and equipment to be used during the spring sowing season are put in order. Preparations are underway for planting early-ripening potatoes and other watermelon and melon crops.

The khyakim reported on the pace of construction of social and industrial facilities planned within as part of the Program for Socio-Economic Development of the Country.

The head of state ordered to pay unremitting attention to the pace and quality of work planned in the region as part of the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028 and National Program of the President of Turkmenistan on the transformation of the social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, etrap cities and etrap centers for the period up to 2028”.

Then Lebap Velayat Khyakim Sh. Amangeldiev reported on the course of seasonal agricultural campaigns, as well as the implementation of the tasks outlined in the Program for the socio-economic development of the country.

Having highlighted the importance of proper preparation for the sowing of early-ripening potatoes and other fruit and vegetable crops, the head of the state gave relative instructions to the khyakim.

Further, Mary velayat Khyakim D. Annaberdiev reported on the course of seasonal field campaigns and the implementation of the program objectives.

As was reported, the plowing and leveling of the lands allotted for cotton, the repair of the machinery to be used in the coming season, and the provision of producers with high-quality seed stock, are carried out.

At the same time, in accordance with agricultural technology standards, work is underway to care for wheat fields, prepare for sowing early-ripening potatoes, vegetable, watermelon and melon crops.

Information was also provided on the activities being carried out in accordance with the Program for Socio-Economic Development of the Country and the National Rural Program.

Having heard the report and stressing the importance of proper implementation of agricultural work, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to increase the pace of cultivation of areas for cotton, prepare machinery and equipment for the upcoming sowing and provide tenants with high quality seeds before the start of the campaign.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov reported on the dynamics of seasonal field work in the regions of the country.

As was reported, in the fields, according to agricultural technology standards, care for grain crops continues. Along with this, comprehensive measures are taken to prepare the land for the spring sowing of cotton, and work on the supply of seed stock for producers has been coordinated at cotton ginning enterprises.

The repair of machinery and equipment to be operated in the upcoming campaign, as well as the preparation of land for sowing potatoes, watermelon and melon vegetables, is in progress.

Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the key role of agriculture in ensuring the country’s food security. In this regard, the need was highlighted for strict observance of the requirements of agricultural technology when performing field work, in particular, when caring for grain crops.

The Deputy Prime Minister was given specific instructions related to the preparation of land allocated for cotton, potatoes and other vegetables, watermelons and melon crops.

Addressing the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of the agro-industrial complex and the heads of regional administrations, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to take appropriate measures to carry out seasonal agricultural work in accordance with agricultural technology standards, including caring for wheat and preparing areas for cotton.

During the working meeting via a digital system, its participants once again cordially congratulated the President of the country on a significant event in the life of the state and society, the establishment of the highest representative body of people’s power ,the Halk Maslakhaty, as well as the appointment of Hero of Turkmenistan, Honored Elder of Turkmenistan, Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as the Chairman of this institution and his legislative recognition as the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
