Today, the capital hosted the final stage of the singers’ contest «Ýylyň parlak ýyldyzy», which by tradition became one of the bright events of the program of festive events on the New Year’s Eve.

Various contests of young variety actors held in Turkmenistan, including «Ýylyň parlak ýyldyzy» are called to encourage creative work and initiativeness of youth, facilitate discovery and support of young talents, professional growth of performers and development of modern musical culture in the country. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov attaches a great significance for harmonious, spiritual and moral, cultural, intellectual and physical development of the younger generation, which is a powerful pillar and happy future of the fatherland.

In the present contest, which is annually organized by the Magtymguly youth organization jointly with the Ministry of Culture and State Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography Committee, gifted performers from all regions of Turkmenistan and Ashgabat aged from 17 to 35 took part. The art marathon was held in several qualifying rounds at the regional level.

In the preliminary qualification from all opponents, the competent jury selected most promising candidates, who distinguished themselves with vocal and artistic features and won the love of the public and got the highest number of votes. Now, one has to determine the holder of the Grand-Prix of the contest and this procedure included professional well-versed masters of music.

Further, the final stage started, the outcome of which directly depended on spectators. Among its finalists were singers, who are already known to the auditory, soloists of concert groups and ensembles and participants of amateur groups of various high educational institutions and naturally gifted people from rural areas who for the first time performed on the stage before the public. Young soloists were given an opportunity to perform before the public –on the TV channel «Türkmen owazy».

For that time, TV views and radio listeners had to evaluate the talent of young actors by their performance and give their voices to this or that performer through SMS and phone calls. Duration of the action and participation of the wide public in it ensured participation of the brightest representatives of popular music genre in the final –the best ten were selected for the participation in the final.

Workers of culture and art and numerous young people came to watch the final concert.

Young vocal singers feeling the responsibility of the moment, which might play an important part in their future career and trying to justify the hope of their fans and supporters did their best to demonstrate their ability and gift performing on the festively decorated stage.

By conditions of the contest, contesters performed two songs, one of them without musical accompaniment so that professional masters could fully evaluate purity and beauty of their voice. This test enabled them to reveal individual features of artistic merits of young singers and their ability to establish emotional contact with the auditory. In this case, friendly applauds and most favourable support of the hall served as accompaniment. Songs of various genres –variety, folk, lyrical and patriotic were performed.

For several hours musical contest continued. After performance of every singer, famous actors expressed their views and gave their advice to their young colleagues. At the same time voting continued.

After votes sent by SMS were counted, presenters announced the results of the contest.

Winner in this art contest and holder of the title «Star of the year» became Khallyev Rustem, who was awarded the challenger cup and costly presents.

In addition to the Grand-Prix, first, second and third places were also envisaged. All holders were given certificates and souvenirs as keepsake.

Masters of Turkmen music art, famous performers of national art wished young actors a great growth their career, and successes in their search. Speakers also noted that today young Turkmen nationals have all opportunities and conditions for realization of their creative potential and their abilities thanks to the close attention of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Excited, happy and filled with pride holders of prizes of the contest promised to respond to the close attention and support of the head of the state with their weighty contribution in the development of Turkmen culture.
