Today, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who arrived in our country to participate in the first Tripartite Summit of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Türkiye, in the congress centre of the Avaza national tourist zone.

In the course of their conversation, the sides discussed issues of development of interstate relations in various areas. They gave special attention to expansion of trade and economic links, partnership in the fuel and energy complex, transport and communications sector and industry. Issues of interparliamentary cooperation became a separate topic of talks. During their talks, the deepening of regional partnership, including cooperation within the framework of the Organization of the Turkic States, which Turkmenistan joined in November of the past year as an observer, were also discussed.

Besides it, during their talks it was underlined that the sides attach a special significance for the deepening of traditional humanitarian links that are stipulated with commonality of deep historical roots that go back to millenniums, cultural and spiritual values, which unite two brotherly peoples.
