Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev.

Having greeted the head of the state, the guest expressed his sincere gratitude for the given time to meet and opportunity to take part in the international conference devoted to such important issues of modernity as the strengthening of peace and trust with a view of ensuring universal security, stability and development. At that, it was underlined an active position of Turkmenistan in promotion of intestate interaction, to which creative initiatives set forward testify obviously. 

The head of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) cordially congratulated the President of the country with International Day of Neutrality and wished him sound health and new successes in his large scale activity stipulated with an ever growing authority of Turkmenistan in the world arena. Having  underlined that today the Turkmen neutrality by right is recognized as an efficient tool to ensure peace, security and sustainable development in regional and global dimensions, the guest also congratulated the head of the state with the distinctive sign «Türkmenistanyň ussat diplomaty» awarded to him.

Having thanked him for his kind words, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that he was glad to welcome the head of the Organization of Turkic States in the ancient and hospitable Turkmen land. Having congratulated on the appointment to the high post of the Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States, the head of Turkmenistan wished Kubanychbek Omuraliev great successes at this responsible post.

Having expressed confidence that the given Organization will further act as a connecting link between states of the Turkic world, the head of the state underlined that participation in the international conference “Dialogue –guarantee of peace“ timed to the 27th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan will give a new impulse for expansion of cooperation with our country.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated that realizing the foreign policy based on permanent neutrality status recognized and supported by special resolutions of the UN General Assembly, our country is aimed at expansion of friendly relations and fruitful cooperation with all interested foreign partners. Turkmenistan successfully develops constructive interaction both in the bilateral and multilateral formats by international and regional organizations. 

In this connection, a great attention is attached to cooperation with the Organization of Turkic States, which Turkmenistan joined ad an observer having confirmed it’s strive for expansion of mutually beneficial relations.

Further, during the meeting, an interested exchange of views of future of cooperation taking into account its sound potential in different areas was held. In this regard, it was stressed that in the light of modern realities coordination of efforts and realization of joint projects in such strategic areas as energy, transport and communications sector and trade are considered as topical ones. Along with it, one of the inseparable parts of cooperation was marked humanitarian sphere. It was pointed out that expansion of the range of programs and projects in spheres of education, science and culture and as a whole, fruitful contact in the given area will serve successful promotion of mutually beneficial interstate partnership, its enrichment with new concrete content. 

At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and his guest, expressed confidence that constructive cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Organization of Turkic States will further develops dynamically for the common gaol facilitating the strengthening of trustful dialogue, traditionally friendly and brotherly relations between countries and peoples.
