The events of the past week have become another evidence of the progressive development of the Turkmen state, in which all the transformations and grandiose accomplishments carried out under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov are entirely aimed at ensuring the high dynamics of the political, economic, social and cultural development of an independent neutral Motherland.

On November 28, the head of state held a working meeting via the digital system with the participation of the hyakims of the velayats, where the issues of the progress of seasonal agricultural work were considered.

The President of Turkmenistan noted the important role of the agro-industrial complex in the national economy, focusing on the need to harvest the grown crop of "white gold" to the last box, as well as plowing the vacant lands and preparing them for the next year's sowing, and timely payment of tenant cotton growers.

Along with this, it is necessary to ensure the care of wheat crops in compliance with agricultural standards and take all measures to collect and place winter potatoes and other vegetable and melon products in refrigerators in order to fully provide the population of the country with their own food.

The heads of the regional administrations were instructed to control the work planned for this year within the framework of the Program for the socio-economic development of the country and the National Rural Program, as well as to control the activities related to the change in the administrative-territorial division of the velayats.

On November 28, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) Sultan Raev.

An exchange of views took place on key aspects of the traditional partnership. The presence of favorable prospects for further deepening contacts in the area of culture and art, holding joint events was emphasized. In this regard, the topic of celebrating the 30th anniversary of TURKSOY, which will be celebrated next year, and in 2024 the 300th anniversary of the great poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi, was touched upon.

The head of state thanked the Secretary General and, in his person, the entire Permanent Council of TURKSOY for the decision to declare 2024 the year of the great poet and thinker of the Turkic world - Magtymguly Fragi, and the ancient Turkmen city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world for the same year.

The conviction was expressed that events of such a scale would contribute to the intensification of interstate cooperation within the framework of TURKSOY and contribute to further development of the rich Turkic culture.

On November 30, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Energy of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Akbar Mehrabian.

During the meeting, prospects for building up bilateral cooperation were discussed. As the head of state noted, Iran is a major trade and economic partner of Turkmenistan, occupying one of the leading positions in its foreign trade turnover.

It was emphasized that our countries are actively cooperating in various sectors. Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran have rich natural resources and an advantageous geographical location, which creates favorable opportunities for interaction in the foreign economic sphere, in the energy and transport and transit sectors.

In this regard, the need was noted for developing more effective partnership mechanisms in order to optimally realize its huge resource and economic potential.

Priority issues of state life were considered at a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, held by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on a digital system on December 2.

In particular, information was given on the improvement of the country's legislation, the development of inter-parliamentary relations, the strengthening of traditional ties of friendship and fruitful ties with the Republic of Korea.

Also among the topics discussed are the state of affairs in various sectors of the fuel and energy complex, the course of seasonal field campaigns, the provision of domestic agricultural producers with "fertility vitamins", the activities of the State Concern "Türkmenhimiýa" to increase the volume of export-oriented products, the feasibility of building a new production facility in conjunction with the Akhal plant for production of gasoline from natural gas.

Information was provided on the results of the sixth meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Azerbaijani Commission for Economic Cooperation, held in the city of Baku (Republic of Azerbaijan), and the results of the Turkmen-Austrian business forum held in Ashgabat with the participation of representatives of government agencies, leading companies and business circles of the two countries.

The meeting also considered the issue of joining the Agreement of the Organization for Cooperation of Railways on container transportation in container trains in international traffic.

In addition, it was reported about the preparation of festive events and celebrations planned for December on the occasion of significant dates of the national calendar and the activities of the public organization of doctors of Turkmenistan.

In order to further develop the international information activities of our country, a proposal was put forward to open an International Information Center within the structure of the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography. Its main tasks will be the preparation and broadcasting on the air of foreign media of various programs, short documentaries and videos dedicated to Turkmenistan and important events taking place, the publication of special publications, etc.

The expediency of locating the new Center, the structure of which will be a number of specialized departments, in the International Broadcasting Center of the capital's Olympic village was noted.

At the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov warmly congratulated compatriots on the adoption of an important international decision on the inclusion of the nomination “Turkmen embroidery art” proposed by our country to the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

It was unanimously adopted on December 1 during the 17th meeting of the UNESCO Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, held in the city of Rabat, the Kingdom of Morocco.

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution “On the purchase of spare parts by the State Concern Türkmengaz”, and also approved the composition of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Korean Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation from the Turkmen side and the composition of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission for Economic Cooperation from the Turkmen side .

In addition, last week the head of state signed Resolutions, in accordance with which it is prescribed to ensure the holding at a high organizational level of the International Conference "Dialogue is a Guarantee of Peace", which will be held on December 11, 2022 in the city of Ashgabat, as well as the trilateral Summit of the Heads of State of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey, which will be held on December 13-14, 2022 in the Avaza National Tourist Zone.

On December 3, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, made a trip to the State of Qatar. The head of Turkmenistan held a high-level meeting in the context of the development of interstate relations, and also became an honored guest at one of the matches of the World Cup held in Doha.

Before taking off at the Ashgabat International Airport, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov talked with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Turkmenistan Ghanem bin Abdullah Al Romaikhi.

Relations between Turkmenistan and the State of Qatar are mutually respectful and long-term. Today, interstate ties are dynamically developing in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Our countries are also successfully cooperating through authoritative international and regional organizations and structures, including in the field of sports development.

Before the start of the match, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov had a bilateral meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in the hall for distinguished guests of the Khalifa International Stadium, located in the center of Doha.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the current state and prospects of interstate cooperation. The parties also discussed the forthcoming opening of the diplomatic representation of Turkmenistan in the city of Doha of the State of Qatar.

Among the priority areas of partnership were the trade and economic sphere and the fuel and energy sector, which is fundamental in the economy of both states, which have huge reserves of hydrocarbon resources.

Among other events of the week is the official visit of the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Korea, within the framework of which he met with the President of the Republic of Korea Yun Sok-yeol, with the Chairman of the National Assembly of this country, the head of the inter-parliamentary friendship group "Turkmenistan-Korea" , President of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) and representatives of the Korean business community.

During the talks, issues of further building up bilateral partnership in the trade and economic sphere, as well as in the fields of ecology and high technologies were discussed.

In order to develop Turkmen-Korean relations, Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov put forward a number of proposals, including the implementation of the SDGs, the intensification of the work of the friendship group, the effective use of the opportunities of youth inter-parliamentary interaction and cooperation of women parliamentarians. As a result of the meetings, a Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation was signed between the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan and the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, as well as bilateral documents between the profile structures and business circles of the two countries.

The Turkmen-Austrian business forum held in Ashgabat brought together representatives of government and business circles of the two countries. The event was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Federal Economic Chamber of the Republic of Austria.

The agenda of the meeting included a discussion of promising areas of mutually beneficial partnership between sectoral departments and business circles of Turkmenistan and Austria in the context of the existing large trade and economic potential of both countries, in particular, in the fields of industry, energy, agriculture and transport.

Ways were analyzed to bring relations to a new level in various areas of the economy and investments, in the field of high technologies, the possibility of expanding trade turnover, and specific plans for joint work were outlined.

Within the framework of the forum, meetings were held between representatives of ministries and departments, private companies and entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Austria, during which documents were signed and new contacts were established.

On behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan G. Mammedova received credentials from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to Turkmenistan Thomas Schuller-Gotzburg.

On behalf of the head of state, the head of the Mejlis congratulated the guest on his appointment to a high diplomatic post, wishing him success in strengthening the ties of friendship and intensifying multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

Issues of further strengthening the constructive dialogue between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Austria, as well as the development of inter-parliamentary relations, became the main topic of discussion during the meeting of the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the head of the Turkmen-Austrian society, Ms. Neda Berger.

Ashgabat hosted 11th meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Austrian Commission, which was attended by leaders and representatives of a number of government agencies, as well as business communities of the two countries.

Noting the enormous potential for building up cooperation, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to further deepen cooperation and specified its promising areas, noting, in particular, the areas of energy, transport and logistics, construction and infrastructure, healthcare, and processing of agricultural products.

Particular attention was paid to the field of mechanical engineering, environmental and information technologies.

It was also about attracting the experience and technologies of Austrian companies to create industrial and service enterprises in our country and about promoting Turkmen products to the markets of Austria and other countries of the European Union. As a result of the meeting, an appropriate protocol was signed.

Ashgabat hosted the International Festival and Conference "National song and music art in the heritage of the peoples of the world."

Representatives of international organizations, singers and musicians, scientists and specialists, university professors, cultural figures from Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Tatarstan (Russian Federation ), Turkey and Uzbekistan.

In his address to the participants of the festival, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the special role of art, which is a bridge of friendship with various countries of the world.

“We are creating all conditions for the popularization of cultural heritage in the world, the disclosure of talents and self-improvement of artists in the creative field,” the message of the head of state says.

Within the framework of the forum dedicated to the origins of the musical art of the peoples of the world, there were performances by performers, musicians and dance groups, exhibitions, creative meetings, master classes in playing traditional national instruments.

The issues of studying and popularizing the song and musical culture of the peoples of the world were widely presented in the reports of the participants of the scientific conference.

On December 3, the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a working meeting in the new modern administrative center of Akhal velayat with the participation of members of the Milli Gengesh, heads of ministries and departments of Turkmenistan and responsible leaders.

Organizational tasks were discussed in the context of the already completed construction of the first stage of a new large "smart" city, preparations for the grand opening.

Last week, on the territory of the Geokdepe etrap, in a special complex, an action was held to destroy drugs and contraband tobacco products seized during special operations carried out by law enforcement and military authorities of Turkmenistan. The event was attended by the leaders of the Mejlis and the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh, members of the Government, the State Security Council, representatives of public organizations, healthcare, the media, and respected elders.

The action became another clear demonstration of the fulfillment by Turkmenistan of its international obligations in the field of combating drug trafficking.

The past week was so eventful, reflecting the priorities of the policy of openness, peacefulness and good neighborliness, progressive reforms carried out under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the era of the Revival of the new era of a powerful state in all spheres of life.
