A three-day visit to Turkmenistan has completed of the Physical Culture and Sports Main Department delegation of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan led by the head of organization - Mohammad Humayun Hairany. In the course of visit, the Afghan delegation members discussed with Turkmen specialists the issues of advancing bilateral partnership in sports and conducted the issue-related negotiations with representatives of the Executive Committee of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, the State Sports Committee, and others. The plan has been developed on organizing joint team practice sessions on the sport disciplines included in the Asian Games-2017 Program. The national teams’ practice sessions are supposed to be organized on the basis of modern sports facilities of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. The guests expressed interest in taking part in the international tournaments organized on the basis of the Olympic Village. In particular, the friendly country’s team participated in the track-and-field competitions in the running year’s September. Now, the Afghan athletes are preparing for the Central Asian Championship to be held in February 2017 in the indoor sports complex.
