Today, in accordance with the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, given on September 2 at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, farmers of the Dashoguz velayat started picking cotton.
The harvest season was preceded by a working meeting held in the velayat's hakimlik, the main topic of which was the discussion of the tasks for the organized conduct of this important campaign and the well-coordinated interaction of the relevant services.
As noted, the uninterrupted rhythm of field work will be provided by modern high-performance agricultural machinery.
An impressive fleet of trucks and tractors with trailers will be involved in the transportation of the harvested crop. Reception points and cotton-cleaning enterprises are fully prepared for round-the-clock work.
In the laboratories equipped with modern equipment, the specialists of the State Service “Turkmenstandartlary” will provide an analysis of the quality of the delivered raw material.
The celebrations on the occasion of the start of the cotton harvest were attended by the heads of the velayat and etrap hakimliks, dayhan associations, as well as representatives of public organizations, agricultural scientists, experienced agronomists, combine operators, drivers and cotton growers.
The elders prayed to the Almighty for the prosperity of the Motherland, the well-being of the head of state Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the entire Turkmen people, blessing the start of the cotton harvest campaign with the words “Harmanyňyza bereket!” (“Good harvest!”).
Then, cars and tractors with trailers decorated with flags, loaded to the top with "white gold", headed to the cotton processing plant located in the Koneurgench etrap.
An exhibition of agricultural machinery and products manufactured by the regional agro-industrial complex was organized. A bright concert program was prepared by artists and dance and folklore groups of the velayat.
